That sounds interesting, I hope you do end up making it. I think it'd be really cool to see what you can accomplish with that.

I am curious about Ada's sudden disappearance, especially since she was supposed to have 'shelved' the acutal Las PLagas sample...

I'd like to see something with a grown up Sherry. I was so sure the girl in the tube from early RE5 trailers was her and not just Jill with a different hair color.

Oh, so that did not appear in the final version? I have not played the game yet. Still wonder why Jill is blonde... ugh

Jill went through a TON of stuff in the background. It's a pity that the thing Jill was under was just Performance Enchantment + Mind control. (And Wesker's drug worked only for him.)

Jill was shown in the tube in the final version, but only briefly (and only her face as I recall). The hair.. meh. Thankfully though one of her unlockable Mercenaries incarnations is brown haired.

The Regis Licker that appeared in RE: Outbreak. As most of you know, a Crimson Head becomes a Licker. Well this lady is inbetween those stages, thus a Regis Licker. No process is shown but the fact that it's female and inbetween stages should be enough.

Re: Missed TF Opportunities in RE5

I had no idea something like this was in RE. If someone had told me there was a mostly naked woman partially transformed into a Licker in Outbreak I would have kept playing. Thanks so much for posting that.

Re: Missed TF Opportunities in RE5

For those who enjoyed the TFs in Code Veronica, I am pleased to say that like RE2, it is going to be included in Darkside Chronicles. It is likely that the outdated cutscenes are polished with new ones.

Re: Missed TF Opportunities in RE5

Outdated? Man that stuff is classic; it doesn't age.

Still, I won't object to having a second version of them. There's no reason to suspect they'd trim them down because of technical limitations since the UC/DSC games still use pre-rendered cutscenes. They also probably wouldn't edit them for content reasons since RECV was the cleanest and least violent RE game, and after it they returned the series to its earlier high level of violence. Plus whoever it is that's reponsible for Onimusha's Hecuba transformation movie has to be hiding down in the bowels of CAPCOM, waiting for his chance to strike.

Re: Missed TF Opportunities in RE5

Now this isn't news per se, but CAPCOM has a development blog for Darkside Chronicles. Apperantly the CGI company they're using is the same as the one for UC (not surprising) who also worked on FF7 Dirge of Cerberus and Soul Calibur 4. Aaaaaaaand

Hidekazu also worked on Umbrella Chronicles with me, and in my opinion he’s not your average director. He offers great opinions on the story which make the cut scenes even better in the end. Mr. Hidekazu’s mark has been left on the game’s story. He has especially strong feelings about the Veronica story which he was involved with.
Froth up!

EDIT: after looking at more of the blog I found a posting entirely about Alexia. Apperantly they're going to play up the Psycho angle from the first half of CV more, but at the end of the post there's this:

The one thing that I can say here is this:

Alexia’s incarnation in the Darkside Chronicles is burning hot, and she will leave you wanting more!
Sounds good to me.

Re: Missed TF Opportunities in RE5

Well, it's TGS time again and that means new trailers! The new Alexia shows up in this trailer very briefly at the end of the transformation into her first form. She looks mostly the same as before, yet oddly she's transforming while wearing her dress in an area that appears to be where the final boss fight takes place, so either they took out the confrontation in the main hall replica or they drastically changed the intro to the final boss fight. I am really not caring for her new voice either.
