Stolen art?

I was browsing around deviantart today and found this picture:

http://nemesist-103.deviantart.com/a...irus-108079973

I'm positive I've seen those exact expressions/poses in another piece of work. Can anyone help me find out if I'm just crazy or this really is stolen art?

Not STOLEN, specifically. The correct term would be 'ripped off.'

Basically the same, except stealing takes no effort. Ripping off isn't bad if they actually SAY they're ripping someone off, but that's besides the point.

Mainly, this dood ripped off Ronzo.

Re: Stolen art?

That's it. And yeah, I brought it up here because I didn't see any mention of his source. I've sent a note to the real artist already, but nothing other then that.

Re: Stolen art?

It looks like he specifically says it's based off of Ronzo's work.

The description says "basado en un trabajo del gr?n ronzo" with Ronzo's DA icon, to be exact. It could've just now been put there for all I know, though.

Re: Stolen art?

Well, considering that I can't read Spanish and I didn't think too hard about it, that seems to be the case. >_>

Re: Stolen art?

Yes...it seems he just forgot and added the source in after it was pointed out. I guess all is well and good once more. Hoorah.

Re: Stolen art?

Don't be so hard on the guy. It's not uncommon for artists to rip off poses from other works if they can't figure out how to draw the pose by themselves. And this guy did state his source (in spanish yes, but the pic of the original artist's avi should have given a clue.)
