So you are convinced that this happy little planet that has managed to exist for over 4.5 billion years, saw the dinosaurs come and go, is so fragile now that my car will kill it as dead as old Marley? What caused previous global climate changes? Time traveling nutters in Hummers? Dino SUVS? This is a shake and bake planet..IT CHANGES at its own pace. Sometimes slow, SOMETIMES fast. Demanding MONEY like some loon Catholic of the early days and offering dispensations so AL GORE can heat his mansion and still feel happy about polar bears (Whose numbers are actually growing) while insisting that his so called “SCIENCE” be treated with the unquestioning obedience of some cult does not impress me. Blaming everything from cool summers to warm winters and my having stubbed my toe this morning to MAN MADE GLOBAL FAIL makes me laugh. Like his cult? By all means join it but when you come to my door to talk about AL GORE I shall snicker at you in the same fashion as I do Jehovah’s Witnesses!

Freedom is an impossibility, the term you are searching for is LIBERTY. Yes, as modern Liberals offer up Liberty for goodies, cake, candy and toys, TRUE conservatives (Not those who support crap like the Patriot Act) defend liberty as being more precious than sad bribes of other people's money. I will keep my guns, fast gas guzzling cars and if I find a spotted owl on my property I shall eat him in a sauce made of snail darters and snow leopards. I reject the silly notion of private property being evil and animals having “Rights”. Treat them with dignity and mercy? Sure, kill them before you eat them. Give them the right to hire an attorney as proposed by one of President Obama’s Czars? WTF? NO!

Scoff all you like, but unless you are ready to trade in violence by way of arms, money is your accepted form of power. Funny thing, Liberals are always so generous with other people's money but I do not see Babs, Mike Moore or the like tossing their cash out of windows for the needy. Nor do I see them ready to line up for the Free Fail Healthcare. Yes, it is good enough for the masses, but them? NEVER!

So not wishing to be a slave in all but name is "Greedy"? I pay at least 70% of everything I make in taxes and fees. Tell me, how much more should the weak, useless, parasitical and generally worthless take from me before I am no longer "Greedy"? Please Massa...when ya gonna set me FREE?

No one will stop a citizen from employing his skills and abilities to advance himself to the fullest extent of his potential. He shall own what he earns and do with it as he sees fit. If he fails, he shall be encouraged to try again.

B: Negroes and other non white races along with women need special help to compete with straight white males. Being less than white males, they can not be held to the same standards of critical thinking or physical ability of white males. Tests and such are always geared for white males and can not be trusted. No one shall be allowed to fail even if that means they can only enjoy mediocrity. Everyone shall be made EQUAL if we have to break the legs of dancers and change crappy grades to better ones. Those who can not pay back loans as yet MUST be given loans and handouts.

SO? Tell me, which attitude sounds more like prejudice (To Pre Judge)?

Disagreeing with others is fine and encouraged. Calling those who disagree with you names, invalidates your arguments every time.

Ditto RB. Humans DO have a tendency to attach all manner of evil on those they disagree with. Every Pope is loved by some and called the Anti-Christ by others. Same goes for Presidents and dictators.

Doing this tends to weaken humans as hate, fear and guilt are all worthless and self destructive emotions. By all means oppose what you oppose and while I would hope you consider WHY you support or oppose something, it is not required. Just remember humans of good will and intention can disagree and still be decent.

Van Grow, that IS a bit simplistic, but I think you do have a point, and Daleksec's rant after reinforces it, as far as I'm concerned. You can go on and on about how global warming is either not real or it's just cyclical, but Man has at least contributed to it, and we should TRY to do something about it, in any case, IMHO.

Now, why don't conservatives want to conserve the environment and
liberty? Maybe they did once. Yes, DS, maybe real conservatives still do. But I think current conservatives are pretty twisted. The neocon's agenda does seem to be ONLY about conserving money and power and not much. Maybe conserve the second amendment, but toss the others in the trash. (although I seem to remember guns being confiscated under W.)

Here's an example of pseudo-Conservative conservation, the Free Speech or First Amendment Zone. Under W, protesters had to be herded several blocks away from W's speeches into a fenced area.






Under Obama, not only are protesters allowed closer, but some have
gotten away with openly carrying guns.







So, sometimes, it's the liberals who are really the conservatives. And, yes, liberals can be selfish at times. It's human nature. But it's smart to be selfish in protecting human rights and the environment, not just your lust for greed and power. I guess it's just a more balanced approach.

you do realize that those free speech zone photos are from the 2004 Democratic National Convention.

During the 1988 Democratic National Convention, the city of Atlanta set up an official "free speech area" so the convention would not be disrupted.

Don't forget longer life spans (Imagine raising the retirement age to 65, the SAVINGS!! Of course the whiners on both sides would FREAK), better quality of healthcare and nutrition.
