By extension, so is the economy of the rest of the world. God help us if any foreign nation we owe lots of money to (that is, nearly all of them) ever tries to collect... Hey, don't go around saying shit like this, man, you'll make people nervous.

My main issue with this health care act is the health insurance mandate. Because, you know, I don't have enough financial liabilities every month; what I really needed was one more bill to have to pay.

For someone like me, who does not have health insurance and can not afford it, and now on top of it, if i cant afford it i'm going to be fined? i call the health bill bull and it should have never passed the stage of an idea.

Sounds like the Glenn Beck version to me.

Is there an informed American here who can tell me whether, under health care reform, services will be paid for up front and subsidised later for those with incomes deemed low? Or will that be dealt with ahead of time, ensuring when people visit the doctor or hospital, they don't need to fuss about potential bills?

I love public health care. I love recieving it. I love working for it. I'm even happy to pay taxes for it. It helps care for the rest of the country and is a whole lot cheaper for me than having to pay up-front for the services I require. I don't imagine my family ever would have recovered financially from the dent all those years of treatment and medicine and aparatuses to manage my respiration as a baby would have costed. I don't think any family should have to go through having a sick baby/child, but I dislike the idea of them being expected to pay for it even more.

You will receive money to pay for insurance, all us poor folks have to do now is choose which corporate fat cat we want to give our subsidies to.

Correction: You will receive some of my money taken via higher premiums and fines to support your healthcare until such time as I decide that I don't get paid enough to work, move to a warm state and live as a beach bum. Then you get nothing and the whole system goes the way of the Soviet Union.

Correction I will be using the money i put into the system by working my whole fucking life. And when you get skin cancer from your time on the beach you will then be using the money I put in there too.
