And the excuses I've heard on why people use pirate/download 'sites' still rattles my mind. I can give the answer to those who care.

It's real simple:

1. I don't have any money... Get a Job!
2. I don't want my fetishes to become public knowledge... Too late, Google already has every single one of your INTERNET transactions which it will give to the government the moment you become a civil threat to society.
3. I don't want to use a credit card becuase the purchase can be traceable... If you are too ashamed to put something you like on a credit card, leave now and get some help.

It sucks that when main stream people find out about a persons 'kinks' it often is seen as something to laugh at. Just ask Rex Ryan, but God-Damn IT... it was his wife, not some sixteen year old. Seems people love to judge.

1. Most of us are college students living off of 7 dollars a week worth of food.
2. Prove Google's logged BEStory club transactions and this will have some credibility.
3. Fetishes in general are looked down upon in society. Especially when it comes to getting a job. Why else do so many artists take down their stuff when they're seeking one? Your video simply involves a foot fetish. Who knows what'll happen if it was Crossdressing, Bondage, or god forbid, S&M. I'm not even sure if it's possible to convince someone your "slave" has agreed to be one without the use of drugs or hypnosis. BE is quite tame in itself, but some people are very close-minded and viable to take it as a sign of objectifying women.

Piracy excuses aside, as far as I'm concerned, the subscription service thing is a completely bad idea. What's really needed is a "Download Quota" to reach or something like that. Like when enough of the current content is downloaded, new ones become available to the public. And until then, nothing but teasers and previews are shown. Then when the new content becomes old, the cycle can start again and again.
Basic economics tell you that supply has an inverse relationship with price, so in theory having an infinite supply (or as much as your computer can store) of BE stories/comics would lead toward an infinitesimal price, and it does as piracy increases. What should be done is to charge for downloading or some intangible property that has a direct link with viewing the content.

The hypocrisy here is just... outstanding. It's ok to pirate peoples' work as long as they aren't part of the process community? Is that the point you're trying to make?

No in all seriousness I don't care. If its pirated then its pirated. I can easily name over 6 places I can get material from the BA story section is for free. I am not saying I go to these places for that, but the fact remains that there are a so many other places that host it there is no point to complain that one location feels that it wants to not host it.

Okay, your comparison is stupid, and I'll tell you why:

The BE from these movies, tv shows, and anime clips usually take up only a few seconds of the entire work, maybe a minute or two at most. For the most part, only clips of the BE scenes themselves are really posted here, so if we're interested in the movies, tv shows, etc. themselves, we'd still have to find the full version legitimately. Honestly, why buy an entire movie that has only a single scene we have any interest in? The thing is, mainstream movies and so on that just happen to have a BE scene or two will have audiences outside of the BE community who will buy the movie or whatever on its own merits, rather than a single scene.

Process Community material, on the other hand, is meant entirely for BE. It is highly unlikely that anyone else other than us will ever have any interest in buying them, so if we pirate those, there will be absolutely no money to be made off of them. No business is made, the business goes down, and BE content goes bye-bye.

Remember Mood Boobs? Unlike the movies whose clips are posted here, there was no other audience for it; any money that was to be made off it was to come from us. So many people pirated it that its pretty much a given that no BE-centric movie will ever be made again. So to some of us, its a big deal.

I don't see how my comparison was stupid when you pretty much just clarified my point... You're essentially saying its ok to pirate stuff not 'aimed' at this community because "they're" making money from the product anyways.

But when someone makes a comic/movie thats "about BE" (and the other fetishes) its a big 'no-no'? You can't have your pie and eat it too...

PS. Might I also add that this was content from the BESC... a site notorious for fucking over its contributors? I had to search and pirate the comic my friend was supposed to get PAID for just so he could view it.

Here is the law in a nut shell.
If you post any material that it not your own it has to be less than 5 minutes otherwise it is piracy.
If you are playing material that you took from a show it has to be airing with in a week of the broadcast and the source must be cited and dated otherwise it is piracy.

And while as you say "there will be absolutely no money to be made off of them. No business is made" that is true, however. Since this is a private community and those pdfs would "only be here" as you say no one is taking them and putting them of the BEA in their file section so the bea can profit off of them no, no no that would be illegal as you put it.

Meh- I guess that would have solid merit if I bothered to read the Mangas. Most of the time the Process Forum is a place for links to sites that host the stuff (as well as malicious code).

For the 7 dollar excuse... I'm going to call shenanigans on that one UNLESS the person has a physical limitation (such as being confined to a wheel chair if that is the case I will apologize immediately) you can get a job bagging groceries on the weekend. Plus the fact that you are at college, a giant cornucopia of tender vittles, you should be out being social and not spending time chasing free INTERNET porn.

I have to agree with PyroWildcat, completely. I too have heard that the sales of ModBoobs only netted the cost of making the film (very little profit if any). If those who 'illegally downloaded' the film bought it instead maybe we'd be hearing about a sequel.

All I can say to those who make justifications for getting the 'intellectual property' for free- all that needs to happen is for those people to spend 50+ hours on a personal project which they want to be compensated on. Its not that you want to make millions, but a $150 to 500 profit would be a nice. Then when they hear some INTERNET-Punk go "I have no money so I want it fo free," nonsense they can follow up on this post and call...

The only thing I've learned is that it's ok to pirate thousands of Japanese Doshinjo and Art Packs, but if it's a American Comic or Art Pack, it's a no-no.
