Okay, if we got KFM coming here to give advice, I might as well give some pointers here as well.
Warner is a good creator. He's probably one of (I think) only two creators these days that release characters with totally custom sprites. The gameplay in his characters could use a little re-tooling, in my opinion, but his works are of overall good quality. And I don't want to preach, either, but what tacosauce is doing is technically what we call "warehousing." Long story short: don't send out full games with collections of characters from different creators. We frown heavily upon that stuff. Anyway, if you want to start actually making the characters anytime soon, I personally would suggest using the character "Kung Fu Man" (which is open source, provided by Mugen's original creators, and is provided with the basic download of the Mugen engine here) and just use him as a base, for what we call "sprite swapping." From there on out, you can use tutorials available from RandomSelect and Mugen Fighters Guild to add more complex stuff if you wish. I look forward to a possible future release! I'm probably not speaking for the rest of the community, since I personally do enjoy certain forms of female process. But don't let that discourage you. There have been weirder things released for Mugen over the years. |

A new Grape Sprite is up!
Heyo! I know you guys are tired of these zombie threads but I finally gotten a new update on the sprites. Warner just finished his first try on Grape. He had a great time working on her and he promised to do more. Love to hear your thoughts on this. Please and thank you.

Just a question... Mugen is a fighting game thing no? All the sprites you've shown are stills, will they be animated - quite boring otherwise.

I think it looks pretty good, but the question is, are you satisfied with it?

Hey, first post, and its a question...
Anywho, GDAD is this guy doing sprites by commission? I've got a character or two I wouldn't mind seeing him doing. If you could drop me his contact info that'd be great. As well as the other guy who did the sprites of Bloodlust Lisa, Grape and Geil Ling. I think his name was Joshua or something... but anywho, if you could be so kind as to let me know if these guys do sprite commissions or more, I'd be ever thankful. I really like their work and I wouldn't mind hitting them up for a little business. Thanks! ![]() Oh and the sprites look awesome by the way! Can't wait to see more. Animated too if possible! I'm goign try to answer eveyrones questions who posted after the new sprites I uploaded.
Denny: MUGEN is fighting game engine program that lets you make fighting games from the gorund up, evne let you use sprites from other games. For now, I can only stick for stills since that's all I've been getting so far. Joshua can't do any animations since he doesn't have the time to do so. As for Warner, it is possible for him since he did those MUGEN characters of Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin but we'll see what happens if he decided to do animated sprites of my characters. Murasashi: Yes, I am satisfied with them since the artists worked so hard on them. Warner is most likely to be the best candidate so far for my characters since he has done MUGEN characters before and many people love his work. N8 Dogg: So far, the only one doing commissions is Joshua. He did some of the mini bosses for GBA's Sigma Star. Also he is definitely in need of work since he is at a desperate time. It won't be a surprise if his prices for sprites comes steep. As for Warner, he did Grape as a request since he was very interested in my characters. As much as he would love to do commissions, I don't think he has the time to do so yet. He did Grape because he love her design and wanted to try her out. But I can provide you Joshua's contact information if you're still interested. I'll send it to you by pm. Just let him know I sent you. |

Awesome work, Memo Pad. I really like your coloring style and the attention to detail within the drawing. Keep up the superb job.

I would certainly recommend that style, mainly because you can't deny the power of a pantless catgirl.

Re: MUGEN Project
Rargh! A dead thread coming back to life.
lol Wanted to let you guys know I haven't given up on my project. To make it biref, Joshua recently came back to me for more work and I have been interviewing new sprite artists. Firts of, Joshua did some rework on his sprite of Bloodlust Lisa and Hannah, one of my new sprite artists, did his test sprite of Kate. For the one of Joshua, the old sprite is on the right while the new one is on the left. Also, he is currently doing a rework on his sprite of Grape also. Let me know what you think. As a bonus, Rafeal/Rasp777 did a furry animated sprite of Grape. |
