For Anime Fans
List the ten series you most want licensed and released. Dubbed or sub-only, old, new or not even out yet, all are okay. Here are mine. The order doesn't especially matter.
1: Yatterman 2008 2: Dororon Enma-Kun Meeramera 3: A re-release of New Getter Robo 4: Shin Getter Robo vs Neo Getter Robo 5: Kotetsushin Jeeg 6: Mahou Shojo Lyrical Nanoha Strikers 7: Manyuu Hikenchou 8: Tales of Eternia: The Animation 9: Queen's Blade season 2 10: Infinite Stratos Let's hear your picks.

Re: For Anime Fans
Its usually a bad idea to ask fans what they want, just look at Sega doing Shadow with guns, or Patlabor dub in Espa?a. Just focus on a show popularity, that works most of the time, if you see lot of people talking about a show despite the lack of a sub, or at least script translations, that's usually the show to aim for, but first you have to check if it will sell. Also, if there is a show of giant robot battles and little talking (Gundan seed was 90% talking and only 10% giant robot fights) that's usually a good target for a kids show. If the show doesn't take place in Japan but in another world? Awesome, less things to explain, everything is weird and Japanese cause its another world, not because is Japan. Kids usually don't ask that much when they know is another world, you see houses put inside capsules in dragon ball? And is science? who cares is another world. They make references to things you don't know like a great war? its another world!

Umineko no naku koro ni Higurashi no naku koro ni kai Bakemonogatari uhhhhhh can't think of any others off hte top of my head. And I'm not entirely sure that Higurashi Kai isn't already on it's way.

Re: For Anime Fans
That one is supposed to have a DVD release with English subtitles soon, right? Lets face it, the only way they can sell that show is making it direct to DVD, as fans would hate all the censonship it would be need to be aired in american TV, unless Adult swim came back or something, It could be aired uncensored there. with just subtitles to save costs, it mostly a visual show, it could work. |

Re: For Anime Fans
Adult Swim stopped showing anything good a long time ago... well msotly. They took off the anime every night and only really play stupid shows now that aren't that great. At least last time I watched. I haven't wasted tiem watching Adult Swim in like a year.

Re: For Anime Fans
Not to be rude, but you're kind of de-railing my thread. I just wanted to know what shows my fellow Processors were fans of, not start a discussion on the anime industry.

It's alright, I know what it's like to go off topic. I sometimes can't keep my own thoughts straight.

Re: For Anime Fans
Okay...
1. Galaxy Express 999 (TV series) 2. Future Boy Conan 3. Cyborg 009 (2001 version) 4. Ronin Warriors/Samurai Armor Troopers re-issue 5. Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water re-issue 6. Super Dimensional Century Orguss re-issue 7. Urusei Yatsura re-issue 8. Heroman 9. Gatchaman II and Gatchaman F 10. Last Exile ~Fam, the Silver Wing~ (if it actually airs) EDIT: Changed #6 from Armored Trooper VOTOMS to Super Dimensional Century Orguss since the only release SDCO ever had was one of those cheapo manufacture-on-demand DVD-R sets. Here ya go. If you're curious about any of 'em, don't hesitate to ask.
![]() 01.) Puella Magi Madoka Magica 02.) Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? 03.) Space Knight Tekkaman Blade 1 & 2 04.) Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt 05.) Super Street Fighter IV OVA 06.) The rest of Hellsing Ultimate 07.) Fist of the North Star: The Legends of the True Savior 08.) The King of Fighters: Another Day 09.) Any and all Sound/Picture Drama from Code Geass R2 10.) Unico: The Complete Collection (one pilot, two feature-length films, and a short film) On a side note, I wouldn't mind seeing an ENG dub of School Days. It could either be depressingly awesome or downright hilarious, don't you think? |

Is there something wrong with the current release?
Other than very new stuff I haven't seen, I'm not sure what isn't licensed. Most of the titles I'd list are at least being streamed by Crunchyroll or some other site officially. |

Re: For Anime Fans
No, the R1 Nadia DVDs aren't bad (the picture and sound could be touched up a bit, but I know that's straining at a gnat)...it's just that they're out-of-print. The releases are still available but it looks like they're getting scarcer along with all the other discontinued ADV titles.
