I suppose that is a important distinction to make. Breasts do look very differently even when the sizes are the same but the proportion on each character can make it look smaller/bigger, because say of the height of the character or the body type. But I think in most cases we are talking about pure size, because generally speaking most of the female leads have hour-glass figures(or well you know not fat) and regarding height differences it's usually not that big.
Either all the female characters are close in height with 1 being the tallest but that's about it.

Yeah, I suppose that's true but even then most anime girls nowadays would be way bigger then her. It might be a size determined according the Japanese way of measuring which is again a different way of measuring.
It always makes this particular pic of Oppai Baka all the more perplexing:


The small sizes seem accurate but once you get to the bigger ones, I just don't know.
Then again I have absolutely no knowledge about breasts in that regard and that countries use different ways of measuring doesn't make it any easier.
And if Mii is according to your example K-Cup, then I can't even imagine what that would make the ladies from F-cup towards I-cup. If anything all these cup sizes confuse the hell out of me. Just say it's I dunno 100+ inches or something. At least that way it's a bit more concrete to me. It reminds me back of that time when I heard that a gravure idol named Fuko whom I knew of, was mentioned as a P-cup, granted she is on the chubby body type of things which does adds to the boobs, but still.... They all are, and from that picture, b and d are the same if you look at how the shirt contours and drops, so i wouldn't suggest using that as your example.

Besides, as is stated quite often on these boards, it's not the letter that matters, it's the number.
