Re: Giantess Club

Speaking as someone who's recently started contributing to the Giantess Club, I have to say...this sucks. I hope the issue's fixed soon.

Re: Giantess Club

I was contacted by Matt this afternoon, and he attached the comic I purchased to his e-mail message. I replied and said that if the next comic that comes out is one I want to buy, and I encounter the same website problem again, I will be mature about getting it resolved just like this time but I expressed my hope that the bugs get worked out sooner than later.

Re: Giantess Club

I contacted Matt, earlier, and he says that the problems should be resolved within the first week of August. Fingers crossed!

Yep, I bought the latest issue (individual purchase) on July 17th and received the PDF via email from Matt on the 19th.

Re: Giantess Club

Has anyone had any better luck with receiving their comics so far?

Re: Giantess Club

The problem's still there, I just bought a comic and am yet to receive a download link or even a conformation e-mail saying that my complaint has been sent through. I'm hoping they sort this out soon, two months is a little too long for them to be having problems with such an essential part of their business model...

I humbly agree.

Question Re: Giantess Club

Well.... Since I've been poking around the site for the last hour or so, I thought I would give a small update for the site's functionability issues. With a 3-month old laptop, Windows 7, most current version of IExplorer, I still can barely move through the website. What drew me this time was getting an e-mail update for their newest comic being uploaded, "Hero Of Size Pt4", at $0 cost. Yes, I took screen caps that I was going to use if that turned out not to be the case.

Using IE:
1. I cannot log in
2. I cannot change my password on the Recovery screen (HTTP500 internal server error)
3. [See ZEROdollars2.jpg screen cap] When clicking on the right Buy Now button for individual chapter purchase, the following links will not work:
a)CCBill Purchase As Guest link (redirected to a CCBill page that does not exist -- Error:404)
b)"Sign In & Checkout" (error for not inputing CAPTCHA, when none was shown, still will not log in)
4. Speed is dial-up slow and takes between 30-60 seconds to proceed, if at all.

But the more important detail I wanted you all to know was about the $0 cost of the comic above. If that does not change because of being a typo, perhaps someone who uses or wants to try Firefox/Chrome to nab it and see if it is $0 -- they can take advantage of the opportunity. I still don't know if the e-mail download link issue has been resolved, but with the trouble I am having using IE I don't want to try it myself if a waste of time.

*If* the $0 cost is simply due to the Admin not having the comic up and ready yet, I would retract my accusation. But if I get the e-mail notification of the new comic being available, and it shows up (only) on the main page -- if you click on Comics & Stories and sort by Date/Descending no comics from November or December show up, then in my humble opinion the whole process should be working. Either those members here who support a boycott should do so, if they haven't already, or someone should report them. 6-8 months+ is heinous for this many technical issues, regardless of what browser you use.

Lightbulb Re: Giantess Club

Well, given everyone's testimony and JBird's wise input (no pun intended, lol), here is what I would advise:

I wouldn't purchase anything from their website (whether you use IExplorer or Firefox) unless you are aware that you may experience a delay in receiving your product. As long as someone can maintain communication with (Matt) and asking about the status of the website problems, we should have a fair idea when and if those technical issues get resolved. I appreciate the business Giantess Comics provides us, as its customers, and I am not boycotting the website. But after more than 2-3 months of website problems that have affected their business output directly, someone over there needs to fix the problem for good. The reason why I don't consider such a tactic as boycotting is because the new comics they upload will still be there if/when the website problems are fixed. They aren't like DVDs or books that eventually go out of print. But the tech team at Giantess Comics needs to resolve their website problems sooner, rather than later. B-)

After all... the customer(s) are always right.

Re: Giantess Club

I stated before that I use Chrome, and after deciding to try my luck about three hours ago, the site is still not working, for me. I still get the email confirming the purchase from CCBill, but nothing else after that. Whenever I get off work tonight I'll send an email about it.

I choose not to fret because it's no big deal in the end, to me. I'd rather jump through these hoops and get some satisfaction by the end than spend twice as much on a comic of similar length and not like what I bought... (And yes, that is mostly a true, and recent, story. I won't say what it was or who I bought it from because I don't want to start any drama.)
