Talking Busted, The art of Second Life's busty community

Hello!,

I'm Aliecia Lionheart, Ali (Ally) for short ^^. I have noticed recently or rather shortly after I joined that there wasn't a thread concerning a great amount of what this Forum loves. That being the Busty community of Second life. we are constantly 'growing' in so many ways be it our clothing options or clubs or hell even our own publication promptly titled BUSTed. I would like to account most of the events here for those who haven't thought about joining or who missed out. As a token of good faith here are some photos I have taken.

Re: Busted, The art of Second Life's busty community

Ah, I see. All you have to do now (to appease the more.. persnickety forum-goers) is to make a sequence of a single character with small, medium, then large breasts to include in the collage there. The reason I say this is because then it would include "expansion" which has been a sticking point for a few photo collections in the past. Started some pretty long arguments too >.<;

So I'm just giving you a heads-up on how to bypass that drama and have a better first experience posting!

Thank you very much for the insight. I will be in the process of doing that tonight.

Now, out of curiosity, since I've considered SL before - do those looks require a mod or something similar? None of those appear to be strict in-game shots based on the screenshots I've seen before.

Yes and no is the proper way to answer that there is no direct mod outside to make your AVI look like that. Your AVI has multiple attach points for items you purchase such as clothing or accessories. The bust is one such item. So in a idea it is a mod to the AVI but not the game. You are correct these were taken in game the character removed from a blue screen then cleaned up and blended into the new background.

I don't think this computer could run Second Life...and even if it had the power to, it heats up too fast when I'm playing games and can shut off unexpectedly. I can't even play Minecraft for very long.

Oooh... my last computer did that quite a bit, it was a laptop though and I got it a coolant pad to keep it from emergency shutdowns (which happens when the heat level inside goes too high). Minecraft is also incredibly resource intensive for what it looks like. I could run World of Warcraft easily, but Minecraft would overheat the computer. Possibly Second life may work the same, you never really know till you look at the minimum stats for a game.

It's really because Minecraft was written in Java, so it has terrible memory management issues (being Java), and the graphics aren't the most efficient either. Everything is rendered via the processor, it can't use any graphics cards.

Ah I see guys, thanks! Yeah this is a loaned laptop. It's fairly old, but still works well. It runs Vista and I can't get my cnet or whatever framework to update, so some things (like audacity, irritatingly) won't work. I mostly put it up next to a fan before it gets too hot. I can't even play Slender without a lot of slowdown, though, even on the lowest settings. It's just a fairly old computer that isn't very techish, lol. I appreciate the info though!

In addition, Minecraft wasn't exactly programmed with efficiency in mind. It was a little indie game that got rapidly popular beyond the original programmer's expectations. Mods like Optifine had to step in to provide the necessary memory and rendering tweaks, and eventually other programmers jumped in to add new features with efficiency in mind.

Not to try to start an argument or anything, but if you're going to say things like that at least check to see if they're accurate. I'm not an expert on Java so I'm not going to go into memory issues, but I can assert that the statement about Minecraft not supporting graphics cards is completely inaccurate; the game's minimum requirements specify a dedicated graphics card. The game is graphics-intensive because there are literally hundreds or thousands of faces being drawn on the 3D geometry at any given time.

That said, Minecraft is indeed known for being less-than-optimal in its actual coding. There's no arguing that, for certain.

That said, my apologies for further derailing the topic at hand. To be relevent here, I'd like to say I've seen some pictures of things done in SL over at chounyuu.com and I have to say it's impressive what they can pull off given the apparent limitations. We're talking some seriously huge knockers, here, and clothing that still manages to look decent on them. I have to wonder how they get around in-game sometimes, or if they just pose with the larger sizes.
