The soundtrack is also mindblowing. Main theme is available for download, free and legal. I listened to it a good 20 times in a row the first time I played it.

The heroine of Paprika also transforms into a fairy, a mermaid, a Sphynx, a ghost, and about a half-dozen other women, and most of the other characters go through their own transmogrifications.

And it's got an incredible web of themes and metaphors behind it all, too.

I rilly, rilly like it. ^_^

Sorry to semi-necro-post, but I thought I would mention that I snagged a copy of the DVD in Walmart (yuck) of all places. Yes, I think it was rated R, but I thought it funny that anti-explicit-lyrics Walmart would have such an interesting surreal anime that ended with a wild AP/GTS. And the new conservative Deviantart would probably remove similar art-work if it was posted there. But you can get Paprika at Walmart. Sheesh.

"Those silly tweens and their crazy animu. How well did this sell in Japan? We can get it for 60% MSRP in lots of 10,000? Do it."

I couldn't watch that video. I never can watch anything I try to download on here. BUT I believe I still found it anyway on Daily Motion:

For anyone else who couldn't see it either.
