I think Sutibaru was talking about a general oekaki board not something just for my stuff.
Would the board be themed somehow? That might aid in thinking up a name. |

Like i have always believed, For every pro there is always 2 cons....(sigh) It makes me very sad and angry to see some *explitive* *explitive* come and ruin a great thing. Especially when there is nothing that can really be done about it. I really like your art WooT (especially the one that is your current avatar. Thats my favorite) and it hurts me to see some nameless *explitive* interupt your websites flow. I honestly dont know what can be done, but i have a suggestion (though i doubt its usefulness):
What you can do is create a yahoo group. While you do have to have a yahoo email account, it is easier to monitor who come in and posts. At the sign up option you can have people write a comment on why they should be invited. What you can do there is have people write something like the following-I promise to do blah blahh blahhh...- or whatever and use it as a password. People who do not enter that bit of text will be rejected. As for how people will find out about the password, well you can use these boards to tell people. I dont know if that was even the slightest bit of help(probably not). But at least I tried, which is what matters (i guess)... Then again, what do i know. I am just a lurker. PS. And as for a name for a new oekaki board, how about TBBB-TrueBlueBigBoobs. I thought that name up in 2 seconds. haha..... |

microme125: yahoo groups are the devil incarnate. Yahoo likes to delete things without notice, uploaded pictures are degraded in quality, and they're all infiltrated with spambots. On top of that, you're limiting who can see and comment on your work to people who are willing to jump through hoops to get there - never a good thing for a community. For all its faults, one of the reasons that places like 4chan (and iichan, and 7898chan, and...) are so popular is that anyone can walk by and drop a comment. The internet is open by nature. There's not much you can do to change that.
ALSO! Artists are always welcome on my oekaki: http://iiichan.net/boards/oekaki/

I'd suggest DA, but they're kinda uptight about nuidity. What you could do is something like Bed Benders Inc did. He made up a Livejournal, and a Photobucket account, and posted is stuff to his LJ. Simple, easy to comment, and controlable. Only his friends could see it and post to it. It takes some times to get all the friends added, but Eh, it may work.

I decided to call it "The Melon Stand". Why? Witty? Catchy? I just like melons of all sorts. ^^
It is currently being reviewed. So we will see if I can open a new board for people to draw (especially Woot). |

Ah! So you wanted a bit of innuendo in the title... That would have been good to know. Anyways I thought you were looking for a broad, general name. My fault. I hope it all runs smoothly and people can post art in a none-hatefilled setting.

Hehe, You know what would be rather funny? Post a link in The Cute Paradise, saying that we're moving because of the trollers. then, link them to some random BBS that maybe has one or two old pictures on it. They can flame there as much as they want, and we get rid of em. Win Win! :-D

Yeah, if I was to to the DA thing, it would be more of a woot-Lite sort of affair. Nudity really isn't an issue since the majority of my OBBS girls are covered up.
I'm looking foreward to the melon stand though ![]() |
