Re: Ronzo Growth Commision Part 2: Fiction Project
K, thanks, dsojourn. I got the way the story worked, I just thought you created "Stranger than Fiction" as a sequel to a real, actual story you had really written IRL. Ah, well, either way it was pretty cool.

Dsojourn just out of curiosity have you finished the last chapter of your Naruto story? I remember you saying earlier in the thread that you were about 2/3 done with it at the time. I really love it so far and would like to know how it ends.

Re: Ronzo Growth Commision Part 2: Fiction Project
Yes, I have the next 2 parts finished (about 20 pages in my normal format), but it's not the end. Don't ask me why the story I was least interested in writing is ending up having the most parts so far, but that's the way it's turning out. If my friend is willing to keep having me have pictures done then who am I to complain. Besides, a lot of other people have mailed/messaged me about that particular story as well, so I can only assume there's no complaints. As soon as I receive the finished art for the next part I'll probably update. Oh, and just as a note, the two artists who've done work so far for the Naruto story are not Ronzo, so there'll be some variety.
I have about 20-25 pages done on another story that's probably somewhere between 1/2 and 2/3 done which is a fighting crossover sort of thing with characters from various fightan games which is a bit different in tone from my other requests, which were basically couple/romantic based. And I've finished the first 1/3 or so of a story for the anime Ai Yori Aoshi which has been on the backburner (along with several others) for over a year. Other then that, there's just bits and pieces, pages here and then, or just conversation or scenes that I had clearly in my head at one point in time so I wrote them down. The only other piece that has enough of these to be considered definite 'progress' is my Suzumiya Haruhi fic, which I'm determined to write in the same style as the actual novels which, if anyone had read them or is vaguely familiar with Kyon's narration style from the anime series, takes some getting used to. Any other creative time I've had has been spent trying to put together a larger project or two which until just recently remained in the planning stages. |

Re: Ronzo Growth Commision Part 2: Fiction Project
Greetings. Here, at last, is an update to this long-begotten thread. Not much, but anything is better than nothing. Right? RIGHT?! Anyone who reads or already read the last few pages of the thread should know everything that went on or is possibly to come.
To quote a good movie: Let me explain. No, will take too long, let me sum up. I've been busy as hell, there are other stories on the way towards completion and in the works, including another chapter of this one, finding commission artists who cater to our field is hard, you can go read an original comic I wrote for the BESC if you like my stories, and I have a larger project in the works. And Humperdinck is marry Buttercup in little less then half an hour. The only new news to report is that I've concretely started work on turning my larger project into a reality and (I believe) have confirmed at least 3 artists working on it so far. I apologize in advance for the weird stopping place of this "chapter", which is sort of right in the middle of a scene (not like it doesn't just pick up right in the middle of the LAST scene), but there was LITERALLY no better place to do so. Originally I was writing this as one part, but I ramble and it was getting to 20 pages so I wanted to cut it in half for the time being. I wish I could say I applied my normal, anal planning skills to this particular story, but the ONE scene in particular I had in mind when I FIRST started writing the dang thing hasn't even come UP yet, I'm as lost as you are. I suppose I'll release the next part once I have another completed image and have given it a proper stopping point. Once again, not even going to hazard a time estimate here. The artist this time around goes by the moniker CerberusLives on DeviantArt and other places and I was impressed by his first piece of size-related work, 'vanilla' and simplistic though it might be. I might commission him for the next image if possible as well. In case anyone is curious, the ORIGINAL commission for this particular story from my friend who requested it is by an artist known as GraphicBrat, but lord only knows when I'll get to that part, which I suppose will be chapter 5 (and that fact alone makes me weep). |

Re: Ronzo Growth Commision Part 2: Fiction Project
And the illustration in question. Please completely ignore the fact that its the dead of night-time in the story. Or the somewhat anachronistic furniture. I wasn't specific enough and Cerb doesn't like backgrounds. (Actually, considering the weird mix of technologies and whatnot in the Naruto-verse, I'm not exactly sure the furniture IS anachronistic.)
Regardless, enjoy. Last edited by dsojourn; 12-22-2008 at 11:33 PM. |

Re: Ronzo Growth Commision Part 2: Fiction Project
And here, I'll even throw this in as an extra for taking so long, just cause it's lying around and cause, technically, there's supposed to be a piece of Ronzo art in here somewhere.
Just a (very) simple poster/centerfold a friend and I had done by the artist in question back at Otakon this year. A bunch of anime girls who are usually, shall we say, less endowed, doing a bikini-shoot with a little more oomph to their figures. And just because its usually popular to say stuff like this in forums, you can have a cookie, or an interwebs, or whatever's in vogue these days if you can name them all. |

Re: Ronzo Growth Commision Part 2: Fiction Project
And here I was wondering why someone had bumped this after no comments last time, lol. Great, now people will be annoyed there's no update. You know it's bad when you find it annoying that you're own thread was necro'ed.
Not like it's dead. Perish the thought, it just gets into extended states of suspended animation. Wouldn't want it dissapearing or anything. Just so that people know I'm not asleep at the proverbial wheel, all the spare time I've had that I otherwise would have been writing with (and I DO manage to jot some stuff down here and there) has been going into various sundried projects and commissions I've been working on for eventual release. To give you an idea, I currently have something akin to almost 90 pages of growth/GTS/etc. comics (and a few illustrations) in commission from over a half dozen different artists for one project or another that I hope to have some info out on soon once I have enough finished product to advertise the coming of something. Penning that many comic scripts and working out all the details takes a bit o' work and patience, I'll tell you that much. In the meantime...keep watching the skies...or something...
