Re: Girl in my dream
I find it odd that in a discussion thread people are bugged by spoilers, if they want to know when something's updated they should click their bookmarks. Though I also am waiting for translations.

Re: Girl in my dream
Good theory, but I hope that isn't the case. It seems TOO harsh for the dead girl to do an 'Aizen' on him.

Re: Girl in my dream
Personally I consider the mind wipe stuff to be equivalent to death. My mind is my soul, it is who and what I am am. Memories both good and bad are an integral part of one's mind, and are primarily responsible in shaping it.
A permanent mind wipe can be thought as a brain transplant, where by you remove the original brain, and kill it, and insert a new fresh brain. You get a new person with a new personality. So what is the point of having any process on the physical body then, especially for TG? You may as well as start with a normal female and not do anything since you end up with the same result by without the suffering and death. Personally I can't stand reading about innocent people suffering needlessly. My dislike of mind wipes is also why I hate the idea of reincarnation. What is the point in having a soul being reborn into different bodies, but killing off a mind each time and replacing it with a new mind and hence new person and new personality? |

Re: Girl in my dream
...That's not what reincarnation is about at all. It's supposed to be about the soul remembering it and slowly going up the proverbial spiritual ladder one life at a time until it reaches wholeness, or something like that. I'm an Atheist so I shouldn't really be lecturing you on these things.

Re: Girl in my dream
To me it seems to be two personalities fighting over who will control the main body. After all if you read the latest chapter(28), Yuna seems to want to keep Ji-hoon like a caged bird while she lives his life for him.

Re: Girl in my dream
*Delurks* Wow, I just had to comment on what an incredible story this is. Can't wait for more. And yes, I too am tempted to peek ahead at the untranslated, but I don't know any Korean, and this story is too good to let it be spoiled with not being able to read the text. ^_-
I do have to say that I suspected the twist at the end of Ch 28 from the start, but my suspicions were artfully deflected early on. ;) As for people not noticing the changes. I dunno about the doctor (he may be a quack *shrug*), but for people that saw Ji-Hoon every day, the changes may have been too gradual to notice until they were brought to the forefront by something drastic. There's a saying about boiling frogs. If you place a frog into boiling water, it will immediately jump out. But if you slowly raise the temperature of the water, the frog will remain in the water until it boils to death. (See this link on the Boiling Frog at Wikipedia for more information about that saying. n.n The people close to Ji-Hoon were like the boiling frog. Not noticing the gradual changes, or dismissing them as their imagination playing tricks on them. |

Re: Girl in my dream
The little changes as things go along are pretty damn hot. The way she checked out his eyelashes around 14 or so really struck a chord with me.

Re: Girl in my dream
I remember that story from when I was a little kid, and we were being told not to do drugs. It was so woefully stereotypical I actually remembered out of sheer stupidity.
