My Animal 2023. I stumbled on this, its a sundance selection film. I have 0 idea on trailers, when, or how to watch this. But it's a horror movie centered around a female werewolf.
I did a bit of research by reading a lot of reviews, and don't expect a big TF scene. Apparently, there is eye glowing, some claw growth, and her nose bleeds, and then she scuffles away into the darkness and basically TFs off-screen. Also, I was kinda tired of reading about how unique it was to have a lesbian werewolf film. Have they forgotten about the abomination that was "Jack and Diane"?

ETA: I heard the sex scene is hot, though, if that interests anyone.

Apparently Paramount purchased distribution rights; it could be a while before we'll see it though.

The first episode didn't have much at all, as the show is opting for a slow build in it's storytelling. It does seem like most effects will rely heavily on CGI. In positive news, there was an actual werewolf in the first episode, not the shitty "Teen Wolf" style. The identity of who this wolf is will likely be the "big reveal" at the end of the season, but it does give a little hope for something worthwhile to come out of this.

There's also this post on instagram by one of the lead actresses: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cn5CaURySKU/

I'll attach the picture below for those who can't/don't use Instagram.

Re: Female Werewolf needles in a haystack

Just finished Vikingulven (Viking Wolf on Netflix). Nothing more additional to report on the one transformation. We pretty much saw it all already with the preview and director's interview. Here's to hoping more directors will take on the challenge of the female werewolf and try to expand on it more in the future.

I recently saw it too! The movie was too short and didn’t focus enough on the girl’s mental transformation prior to the physical transformation. The main tfs were ok. I just didn’t like the whole cartoon logic where the werewolf doesn’t change unless it sees the full moon. ♂️

It had potential. But a swing and a miss!

Didn't see anyone else reply to this but I just wanted to pop on and say I appreciated the link. Yeah it was pretty simple but it still showed more than the clip that inspired it. Thanks for sharing.

I liked the animation too. I'm guessing the original was probably posted and I missed it but here https://youtu.be/JsASlkIUloQ
