Ok. I most likely juggled the names but you can definitly do the Quest without ever seeing the Lady. Some Classes like the "Witch" have access to the ruins at the beginning. All you need then are the 3 Slave Events in the Docks, second Area to start the quest.

PS: Does the first Area of the Docks have any porpose?

First area has a lessened purpose but it still has one or two:
1. Event: watch new slaves get transported to slave pens (only first time ever going to the actual docks)
2.Can get bit gag for pony girl if you dont already have
3.get new ropes for bondage actions from ship cook (you have to do bondage once before you can get this)
4.Lesbian action with girl (or as reize doing tentacle queen ending get here abducted)
5.talk with sailor/sex with sailor (dont know the chances for this one)
6.Shampoo shows here seduction skills off (gotten this one a couple of times Warning: RARE!)

Astrid's potion you get from astrid in the forest if you have the forest home she then becomes a visitable place on the map.

In some cases when you slave drinks the potion 3 times they will become a Herm in other cases they will recive a (from my experinces) 1/6 chance to grow a dick during sexual activity

You can NOT drink the potion a third time if you already trained them to be lesbians. On the other hand you can?t train them to be lesbians if they are semi-permanent herm.

are there any benefits to selling your slave to someone not the original owner? I mean, I assume this prematurely ends the training period, so where does the money go?

selling the slave does not end the training you get the money and use it toward her training. Also time does not reset by selling.
