The first question you have to ask yourself is mind altered and mind swiped the same thing? I have to agree to a certain extent it is and mostly on how it's done. Switching brains is completely different than mind altering because it's two different brains.
I enjoy mind swipes, but ghost mind swipes aren't really mind swipes because it's another entity taking over equivalent to a body swap. A real mind alteration is complete alteration of the brain as it's own entity with no other sentient presence. You see this in some bimbo stories where some 'sentient' being, say a cartoon takes over a guy, then he's in the back still seeing what's going on but not in control, that's not really a mind alteration in my books. I hate ghost takeovers, I haven't read the latest updates so I don't know what's going on. Edit: Just read the latest chapter, ghost take over, I'm officially done with this story.
