Possibly inspired by. Beside, it's not like this kind of position hasn't been seen before.

(I don't really consider this derailing the thread, as the question has already been pretty much answered.)

Re: Stolen Art?

Due to my amazing brand new 24" monitor, I was able to open both pages and get full sized on both images at the same time.
Although the pose can be considered similar, I really doubt any form of plagiarism was involved in the making of it. I would think the pose would be far too common to call them on it unless the body was nearly identical in a way that they traced it...Which they most certainly didn't.
I love my screen.

Re: Stolen Art?

err, to get back to the main topic,
I'm not sure zelda308 ripped of powerman2000's art, because the seemingly ripped of pic has been uploaded on DA way before powerman's
if you want proof, watch the comments ^^
if it's really a ripp off, I wonder how zelda got his hands on the original picture since I'm sure it wasn't even drawn at the time

I'd say we should all stop bitchin' all the time about ripp offs and let the artists do it themselves

Re: Stolen Art?

if it's not tracing or a direct rip, I have a harder time classifying it as theft. Someone coloring art without permission, yeah, that's theft. But using an idea or a post, yeah, if you can prove that you were the first person to do it, which is highly unlikely, then I'm not willing to call it theft.

An artist doesn't own a post they draw. Saying that using poses other people did is theft is asinine to me.

Post, delete post, thread stays bumped. He's the reason for the no-bump rule in the Requests forum.
