Re: Coffeeman's 1st webcomic... be gentle...
Nice! The dynamism of your characters is unparalleled, everything looks like you caughtit mid-action in a snapshot.
![]() (It might seem like a "well, duh" comment to make, but I've seen way too many comics where everyone looks artificially posed...) |

It looks pretty amazing so far, dood! Just a little work on the spelling and I have no complaints.

Thanks Cadell, your fear is easily justified. I had a few people take a heafty shit on it so ( no one hear mind you ) I'm still not 100% sure I should continue. Now spelling and writing is one thing ( I swear I ran it through word

As I've mentioned to two others here, you shouldn't get depressed over grammar and spelling. Yes, they're important, but why we follow your stories and comics is your writing and artistic talent, not a spelling bee championship. If you need help with grammar or spelling, there are plenty of people who would be more than willing to help with that just for the honor of being able to help you in your work.
And yes, spellcheck is only good for so much. A lot of the mistakes people make since the advent of spellcheck software are similar word replacements, such as "I can 'here' you" instead of "I can hear you". Not having to depend on our own checking abilities, that talent is atrophying. By the same token, "googling" has replaced knowing. At one time I could tell you nearly any detail from any Star Trek episode ever made, including the few I hadn't seen, but today I catch myself starting to google even the parts I remember well. There's no shame in getting outside help, whether it be from a person or a tool like google or spellcheck. |

Re: Coffeeman's 1st webcomic... be gentle...
I'm willing to help for free. Just send me the script you have so far and then I can rewrite it a bit. I won't even ask for anything in return (except, you know, possibly the page you want me to write the script for so I have an idea of what's going on. >_>).
![]() Oh, and don't worry about haters. You make something because you enjoy it. Even if other people telling you if it's good certainly helps, you have to keep moving forward! Ya just gotta believe! |
