Re: Tf News

Well, it's just my two cents but...
1.- I remember that issue with the man. He was upset about many people complaining about eveything, when his work was FREE and no one said "thank you". And he wasn't the only one to close his site those days because of that reason.
2.-But the real reason, I remember, was about his critics about the incredibly low quality of the TF-stuff out there. Well, there were incredibly good artists (gryff, xil, kurt...) and nice webs (werekatt's, doc's, dragoniade's...), but out of them the material were crap in his opinion.

I've been wandering through internet since 1993 and believe me, we are living a golden age compared to the old times (luckily).
Mmm... I could pay a visit there...

I've been around since 1997 I guess, and that site was good back in the day, I like the format but the content doesn't interest me...

Also, I am 85% sure Kurt is back as lessthanhuman guy on deviant art, look at the manips the same style...

I also remember pop, pilot, werekatt's site (was the best in those days), and this site that was all bacl with yellow text, some sort of massive TF Graphics archive...

female TF enthusiasts, yes. He's also harbors a dislike against the people of this site in general.

Apparently you can dehumanize the gender you are part of.

Re: Tf News

Another bit of bad news, it looks like Purple Bonus has shut down, with maybe a zip of of all the art the only thing left available. If anyone who can read the sight double check this, it would be appreciated. www110.sakura.ne.jp/~kaimen/purplebonus/maint.htm

Re: Tf News

Yeah Tf Central contains the Tf Seeker's Sightings which I felt was one of the best Tf Archive sites around, even though the owner seems to be on a permament hiatus.

Also Tf Central has Osprey's Tf list which constantly updates with Tf sites on Deviantart and elsewhere.

While I can understand the part of being angry at people who criticize the time and effort in creating a TF archive, I don't see why Dragonaide is so upset about those who like female TF.

Maybe he encountered people who want to see more explicit and graphic content. The jury is still out.

I personally like Ariana's art. Her work has gotten better over time, and her Tfs are nicely detailed.

Considering how many Tf artists I can name that have disappeared from 2000 to now, I call her a welcomed addition.

He's just being childish, that's all. He is holding this site, and by extension all fans of female TF responsible for what probably amounts to about 3 people making negative comments about him. One of those people (myself) was only making a joke, and the comment was not intended to be taken seriously. However an individual with a board account here (lizardman) who happens to be friends with Dragoniade passed along the comments to him (clearly taken out of context), and this caused some outrage and resulted in some temporary bannings (despite an apology and clarification on the 'not serious' nature of the original comment). However, in the hours preceding the apology several other members engaged in heated argument which only served to 'fan the flames' sparking the call for the temp bans and eventually it lead us to the situation of today. So now Dragoniade hates everyone at The Process and holds female TF fans as a whole to be scum because of something a handful of people from this site said.

That's why he thinks he can post male TF fetish content without "dehumanizing" or "objectifying" the male gender or the male form or males in general. He can get off to men transforming, and his friends can too, it's fine. But anyone who likes female TFs instead, at least according to his philosophy, are horrible people (but really it's only because they complained about him, or made a joke about him). Making him one of this biggest hypocrites within the TF community.

He went so far as to ignore the fact that anyone from The Process donated money to help him get his new server, denying those people full access to his new site's features that was granted to others that donated. As well as banning the (short) list of people that spoke negatively about him from his site despite the fact that none of them made those comments on his site (his loyal non-Process fans would never have even seen the comments) before the site was even running.

Ugh, it's really too bad that the stupid few can cause so many problems for a whole community, but I have to admit that Dragoniade himself seems to be most of the problem. I've never been a fan of his abrasive demeanor and it's hard not to be irked that he can be so biased against female TFs and female TF fans like that while still claiming male TF completely kosher. Anyways, thanks for shedding light on the situation, I'd been wondering about Dragoniade's comments for quite some time.

Yep, I agree with you. The content is not the best for me (so many cartoons and so few live-action). About Kurt = lessthanhuman, yes, I've also noticed it... I am a great fan of deviantart in general .

Emphasis on this. He is either 1. Trying to find any reason to hate us 2. Trying to make himself feel or look superior as "he is doing the right thing". But it comes down to him being sexist or not liking the female gender. He is allowed to like men more if he likes them (nothing wrong with that) but he is saying that men, even transformed into animals, never get dehumanized while women do as if their humanity is more weak and can be broken easier. Sure those are not exact words but in the longrun, isn't that what it comes down to?

I'm sure it's not something he's actually given thought to, if asked I doubt he could come up with any justification or reasoning behind it. He just doesn't want to post female TFs because he knows it will piss off people at The Process. Anything he says as to why he feels female TFs are dehumanizing and male TFs are not would only be complete bullshit.
