DA Censorship Strikes Again

ive actually been banned from the da forums =/ perm, due to the fact all my threads attract to much attention and they end up turning in to flame wars, 3 out of my 5 threads have made it to deviantart most popular thread for the day all reaching over 400 replies in under 6hours


ive also gotten a admin banned as well ;D

Seems as though the mods just censor what they personally feel is breaking their rules, using the actual rules written as guidelines.

People don't follow rules, whether they're the once enforcing or breaking them. They go by what's right to them and only them. If something remotely looks like it's wrong, BAM! It's gone.

I also find it amusing that many things still exist on DA that are against the rules, not just sexual stuff. I guess it all depends on which mod sees it at which time, huh? (or if it gets reported by a spoilsport) I sure wouldn't want that job.

When you have something as large as DA, there are bound to be bleeding inconsistencies. Also the sheer number of 'rule' violations makes it hard to track and nail all of them.

The general trend for things like this is, "If no one complains, then we won't bother." Sad but true. Most Mods (if any) don't bother scouring the whole of DA for content that violates their rules. They wait till someone gets offended or does the 'right thing' and reports someone, then they move in.

This isn't to say you won't find some real pricks for mods though. :P

Wouldn't be hard. Most of the BE artists comment and link to each others accounts. Like a poisoned bite from a snake, you sink in one place and it spreads in rapid succession to the rest of the body. With an ounce of effort, they could wipe us from dA.

They understand that it's going to exist and that fighting it is a losing battle. Instead they just try to keep it knocked down and from getting out of hand.
