Great episode, good TF.

I think the lack of female TFs is coincidental. Most of the characters are male, as is the case in the vast majority of American cartoons. It's a show aimed primarily at boys and nostalgic men. Batman's the star, which is the only reason he's undergone two TFs in a show that isn't TF-centric.

Power Girl's in the first issue of the tie-in comic. Could be a good sign for female characters in future episodes. Part of the problem is they're deliberately avoiding certain areas of the DCU. No Superman, no Robin, and general DC villains instead of Batman Rogues. Probably no Supergirl or Batgirl for similar reasons. Wonder Woman might be held out because of her movie (hopefully as prelude to getting her own show). Mary Marvel might be tricky due to her name.

Still, there's room for more women. The Outsiders could come back, possibly with Halo in tow. You can do Birds of Prey with Oracle, Huntress, and Black Canary. Ice, more Fire, Vixen, female Green Lanterns, Stargirl, the Legion of Superheroes...

Jackpot. The latest episode, Menace of the Conqueror Caveman, had a detailed female TF. Normal woman gets zapped with a ray that turns people into supercavepeople. Muscle growth with a side of devolution.

It's set to air again at 6PM Monday.

Edit: I see it's already been posted in Growth. Can't delete my post, though.

I think it merits a cross-post, especially since some people don't visit the Growth forum regularly (or at all).

True, I only found it by using Search.

I've noticed more female characters lately. Last week's ep had Huntress and Black Canary in major roles, kicking ass and looking great doing it. Then this ep, with only minor roles for women, but a great TF. Given the way Not!Vandal Savage looked at his transformed gal pal and... everything about the Huntress ep, it's safe to say the show's writers and producers aren't afraid to add innuendo where they can.
