Hell, I'd prefer if they looked like anime characters. The animation studios atleast know how to handle those. Personally I thought Toei's version of the Spartan looked the most natural. All of the 3D animation with humanoid characters just looked really akward. I've yet to see any japanese animation studio pull off humanoid characters with 3D models. The americans and chinese are kicking their asses on that front.

I'll probably watch the thing anyways, just because Oshii's involved in one of the shorts.

...I'm gonna say Advent Children did a great job. I mean yeah the facial proportions weren't human, but that's because of the style ^_^ And it worked very well ^_^

They've said that they aren't going to. But VII IS now available via Playstastion Network as a download playable on the PS3 and PSP for $9.99 ^_^ As soon as I get a job an da new, working, PSP, It's the first thing I'm getting ^_^

Yes, but Advent Children was done internally by SQEX. It was basically done as the FMV for a game minus the game. It was also far too costly a production to make in a normal studio's time frame, which is why they rereleased it at full price with nicer textures a few months later. That's the only way they can make back the cost of it.
