This is how I'm spending my Saturday night because, for some reason, my goddamn body is acting like it's eighty-five-years-old. I blame the weather. In addition to the ACL reconstruction I'm recovering from and uncharacteristically uncomfortable PMS, my old right wrist injury, thoracic and lumbar spine and left hip injuries as well as my shitty ankles are punishing me. I swear I'm turning into one of those old people who predicts weather changes due to joint pain. That or I'm pregnant. Everything aches.

I'M SO CRANKY.
Jesus complain much. Feel like you aren't getting out enough? Than get off your ass and do something about it. The rest of your post is all bullshit, you know what they say; excuses are like assholes, everyone has one and they all stink. I've had ACL reconstruction surgery, along with everything else in my knee, and know what I did when I felt lonely? GOT OFF MY ASS AND CALLED UP SOME FRIENDS. I thank god I don't know anybody like you, I'd have to smack them upside the head because they'd be driving me insane.

EDIT: O and BTW, if you'd get off the damn computer you might have more time to be with people who call you their friend. That is if you have any.

Re: So, I made this salad

I imagine I will.

I went in for bloodwork today because my symptoms, though no worse, are persisting and it's disconcerting (not to mention, inconvenient.) I'll be interested to see the results.

The muscle aching went way down over the course of the day and there was no nausea past the morning. I'm still exhausted and light-headed.

The great news is my knee looks terrific. I'm going to start training in May for skiing next winter. I didn't ski or ride at all this season.

The scariest point of all this for me was about a week ago when I had a lot of pain in my feet and it felt eerily similar to the plantar fasciitis I lived with for three years. Recurrent ankle injuries resulted in uneven distribution of weight. I became really fat and it pushed my plantar fascia over the edge. It took three years to get the weight off, four cortisone injections and two weeks of inactivity to heel my feet. I was really frightened that's what I was dealing with again and that it would be years before I felt better. I wish I knew what it is that's making me so tired/light-headed/achy but I'm super relieved it's not that again. One of the neuroscientists I work in the lab with has wicked plantar fasciitis and, since recovering from mine, I feel guilty when I see her walking on her toes.

I bet I'll be OK though. In the meantime, I'm just laying low, doing lots of stretching and sleeping extra. This happens to be the week a friend came to stay with me so, while we're not having a very exciting visit, it's really nice to have help around the house. I've got a modeling job in Vancouver at the end of March and my goal is to be patched up by then.
