To be fair, you submitted your first request without even reading the thread rules, and you only shoe-horned the BE at the very end of the sequence to adhere to the rules of the thread. But somehow, generic "Sailor Scouts shrinking yet again" is the will of the people, /sigh.

It does seem to directly correlate that the more watered-down your submission is, the more votes it receives. Although I'm not big on Dragon(or Komodo Dragon) tfs, at least it had a interesting backstory to make an engaging comic from.

I have to admit that sm's entry is fun and the most different I've seen for a while, but I also like ALL the entries! OHYEAH! Vote - change! lulz

I think it's that the more "watered down" as you put it, an idea is, the easier it is for other people to accept in that there's room ot interpret details.

and do you really have ot insult submissions by calling them watered down? That's just not needed. People like what they like.

Apparently, more ppl are against an idea that involves BE. Also, there's not enough material that uses SM characters on this site, despite ppl saying they are overused.

Come on, how many SM size-processed pics are on this site ALONE, in the past 5 years? Not many.

The only thing that bothers me somewhat about Mercurius's idea is that it's so specific. I'd rather see what Candide would do with a general idea than something where the script's practically already written:P

I'm just now starting to realize that this contest was not the best idea. Everyone's taking things very personally because the entries are inherently personal in nature.

Well that's an awfully negative way to look at it! It's not as though five people voted for every single entry but yours. (As of this post, two of them don't even *have* 5 votes.)

Please, let's all try to stay positive and encourage an atmosphere conducive to creativity for content producers such as myself.

It's just that ppl have some gripe against my idea and the characters I used, they see as overdone. I dunno why, but that's their perception.

I try to be positive, honestly. But one image of the results and seeing the results at the top just triggers me.

I hope ppl understand, and please continue to vote for whoever you wish.

I have very... particular tastes.
If I don't vote for someone's submission, ne "vote against" it, it's not necessarily because it isn't good.
It is merely because that sort of thing just isn't my bag.
