Female Werewolf Movie Seeking Funding - Page 2

Even if we all pitched in this still wouldn't get made. It has a total of 3 backers as of this posting. If there are interested parties who would be willing to donate to that project, they haven't heard about it. If there are parties who've heard about it and are interested, they don't have funds to contribute. If there are parties with funds to contribute and have heard about it, they aren't interested. So either it's not being advertised that well, or people are looking at this and just saying "No" like many of us have. The goal is set too low, people look at that number and like us assume nothing much can come from that. We've all seen low budget horror flicks, they don't all turn into cult classics, most are crap, people don't usually like to fund something if they think it's going to be bad. Female werewolves as the selling point doesn't go over well in the mainstream, never has, never will, so your target audience is small to begin with. Then with the added issue of the transformation method being non-standard, untested, yet still trying to claim it's inspired by the classics and going so far as to mention the ultimate TF werewolf scene from AWIL, you get a situation where people just don't have faith in this idea. We don't have any assurances that the people behind this project know what they're doing, that they can do much with such a small budget. People just can't get behind this, at least not enough to fund it. I have a camera, and lots of ideas, but just because someone threw a few thousand dollars my way doesn't mean I could make a movie anyone would want to see. I've seen too many failed attempts to offer support for something with so little to go on. Even if I knew this person had made several earlier movies and managed their budget well and got the absolute most out of every dollar I still wouldn't back this because I don't like the skin method, I don't think it will look good.
