How is the egg laying? Is it on-screen, off-screen?

Almost everything happens off screen.

I kind of wish they hired Studio ADI for the prosthetic and makeup. This kind of thing is right up their alley. But I guess their budget was the main reason for lack of, well, everything.

Right. We has also that "Originals" series with werewolves too shy to become wolves, the Teen Wolf (aka "Alphas are expensive") or Bitten (only female werewolf who does not transform, incidentally). And here... it's like The Fly but without what we remember about The Fly, right? xD.

Blame the FCC/censorship and soccer moms. They're the ones ruining any chances of decent f/x like the 70's/80/even early 90s possessed when it comes to Transformations. These days the cgi makes any kind of physical transformation WORSE than the olden movies of yore...it's disgusting.

They've really ruined Hollywood. It's getting to the point were if you aren't a blockbuster film, you don't stand a chance of getting decent budgets and/or quality.
