Thumbs up Re: TF in Uncanny X-men 456-9

i really wish there were more comics out there with actual process involved

always enjoyed the forced TF and the way the character struggles with it

Re: TF in Uncanny X-men 456-9

I'm not a comic fan, aside from manga, I don't really like all the cheese, and so forth. That, plus process content usually is negligible.

It's nice to see an exception.

Yea, crazy comic fan here. Although Chris Claremont has been kind of "off" the last couple years, it seems he's dabbled in process-type material lately. Aside from dinosaur-Rachel, he also gave X-villain Callisto tentacle arms, his new character "Lifeguard" gained bird qualities (being half Shiar) and also in I think a mini-series, again in the Savage Land, there was a feline transformation (possibly of Storm, although my memory's iffy).

Re: TF in Uncanny X-men 456-9

Doubt that "process' is of much importance from a commercial/professional
POV.

The way I recall it the Marvel comics in the 1980's had stacks of 'process'
but had sacrificed the plot.

Hence plenty of issues with the harem girl of the month turning
into a cat/demon/saurian/etc -girl,but the plots were being
diluted and splintered to the point where the reader was faced with
price increases, feeble plots that after $10 spent on the comic book, ended
up where they began, and readers who slowly/quickly lost interest in
the fate of the harem girl as she fought off the latest demon trying to
usurp her control of Hell.

So basically a industry that concentrated on 'process',sacrificed
the plot and character,went bankrupt.

Re: TF in Uncanny X-men 456-9

Spider-man had a brief stint dealing with a talking spider totem, but that's about the extent of it, lately. He has a villain named Stegron that, in his most recent appearance, slowly transformed from his human form into his anthro-stego one.

As for these harem-girl-process-rich comics, where can I buy a handful?

Re: TF in Uncanny X-men 456-9

Probably several hundred issues back, after Xavier went off and Magneto
was left raising his mutant brats.

Some russian sister of the russian x man slowly turned into a
demoness ruler of Hell,Hell Cat turned into the Cat From Hell and
Emma Frosts panther girl told the prudish werewolf girl
"bleep this, lets go out and party"
