Heh, then we'd have to find out what happened to the real potion shop hag...

Yet another option could be that Nabooru ends up losing one of the pills in an attack or something, and only arrives with enough cure for one person. Since it seems to be close between Malon and Nabooru being left cursed, this'd probably make plenty enough people happy without throwing too much of a wrench into things since they have to go make more medicine anyway.

So instead, I have this idea... One person gets cured, one gets aggravated and one remains cursed but not in an aggravated state.

I think it's pretty clear that most people think Saria should be cured, which - considering Malon's state is serious enough as it is - would make me think Nabooru's state gets worsened. Do we agree on that?

Heh, interesting timing on me looking at this thread again. While I would prefer Malon to be cured if only one can be, I otherwise think your proposed continuation is a good synthesis of those suggested so far.

Real life's getting busier and busier, guys. I tried to write up a next chapter. It's kind of short, but it progresses the story and gives you something to read.

Finally, Nabooru had thought of a plausible solution. She held out the two medicinal tablets in her open hand, when quite suddenly and with a lot of noise, Ingo stepped back in. ?So did you find a cure yet?? he asked in his gruff voice.

But in that second, something terrible happened. Nabooru had automatically turned when someone entered the room, and although she clenched her fist in the act, one of the tablets to cure the Curse fell ? right in a bucket of Malon?s fresh milk.

She fell on her knees quick as lightning and took the medicine back out, but it was wet and looked damaged. ?Oh?? she groaned. She looked up at Ingo with a ?thanks a lot? face, not even caring she was naked.

Ingo shrugged. He held a bucket of water. ?Brought this for Miss Malon. Been walking to and fro with this bucket all night?? he set it down in front of the still sleeping Malon. ?I?m a little thirsty, too, Mr. Ingo? can I have some water as well?? Saria asked.

Ingo muttered something and went back out the room. Nabooru was still staring at the somewhat eroded tablet and the normal one. Nabooru?s mind was completely conflicted. She really wanted to be free of the Curse, but she couldn?t just put herself in first place.

?But what if the tablet would worsen the situation now? It?s drenched with milk, and it seems being near it alone is causing extreme effects in poor Saria?? she thought. It stung her heart more than anything, but she had to decide to leave Malon as she was.

?If Saria lands in the same state, that?s two completely defenseless people for the Curse to use. Soon it?ll be a lot more? if Saria and I heal now, we can keep it confined here and get a new cure. If we hurry, we can do it today?? she muttered to herself.

?Okay,? she said. ?You take the clean tablet, I?ll take that one that fell,? Nabooru said, handing Saria the medicine. Saria looked at Malon and back at Nabooru. ?If we both heal now, we can get her new medicine. She?s too exhausted to help now, regardless of what happens.?

Saria was too exhausted to make a fuzz, and although she felt extremely bad over it, she swallowed the tablet. ?Ugh?? she said. It tasted revolting. If she had been standing, she had fallen over as everything became black for a brief moment.

?So? So?? Nabooru asked anxiously. ?I think it stopped?? she said, her voice betraying a very dry throat. ?The Curse, I mean. I-I? my breasts? they were slowly but steadily producing more milk? but now they?ve stopped altogether?? she said in a soft voice.

?Hm, I think that did it then! Fantastic! I?ll try this medicine, then?? Nabooru said, excitedly. She put the medicine in her mouth. It didn?t taste very good, but it had a strange, soft quality. She wondered if the milk it had fallen in caused it.

As she swallowed it, she felt an odd feeling spread through her body. ?Ohh?? she moaned as her sight blurred. ?What?? she began, when she felt something odd. The feeling concentrated in her breasts, and became increasingly intense.

?They?re?? she began, in a breathless voice. But she needn?t even say it; both Saria and she could see that her breasts were now visibly growing. They had already come down to nearly below her waist, and now they were as good as at that point.

?This? this must be because of the milk?? Nabooru muttered in sorrow. Then she looked up, her eyes wide open and her mind clear. ?Saria, I can feel that it won?t be long until I?m in as bad shape as Malon here. Hurry up to the Hag and get the ingredients to heal us!?

Saria knew she couldn?t ask for waiting for Ingo to bring her some water, so she stood up and ran out the door. Nabooru sank on her knees and looked at Malon whose breasts were still enthusiastically filling up a bucket with milk.

She noticed Malon was somewhat awake and looking at her in a dumbfounded way. She sat next to her (and noticed her breasts were capable of resting on her lap). ?Unh?? she moaned as she felt the milk come out of her nipples.

That moment, Ingo came back in, and his jaw dropped. ?Hey. Mind handing me that bucket?? Nabooru asked with a broken smile.
