Re: Suckermouth.com
Meh, don't take it too much to heart. You're the kind of guy that if we said "badly synthesized voices SUCK", you'd stop using them, so that ALREADY puts you above Suckermouth in my book.

Re: Suckermouth.com
The programms are different. Grycat and Suckermouth use Poser/ DAZ Studio and 3rd-art use Autodesk 3dsMax.
Poser and DAZ Studio are easy to handle for beginners, you found tons of tutorials how to make a real looking skin or figures, magnets and props. With some time and interesst you get some really nice examples. (and with the right Render adjustment). That programm costs 250$ without any extras (Poser8). 3ds Max is a programm that is used in the film and gaming industry (Star Wars, Shrek, ToyStory, The Incredibles and other). You need a high experience and many knowledge to use this programm to create a simple Charakter figur or a single Prop. And you need a lot of time. That programm costs 2.000$ without any extras. For me are the best Poser Artists RickyJava, Boobrepli, Greycat and Maxx1. Redneckdemon and Avaro makes good arts too with Poser. The artists that use 3dsMax aren't so much: 3rdArt and Ooze3D. That suckermouth stuff is alot of work with only a small experience and for that i don't pay any cent.

Re: Suckermouth.com
There are a few more poser and Daz artists around that are noteworthy for process stuff. For animations there's obviously:
:http://0-the-leviathan-0.deviantart.com/ and the less well known but equally impressive :http://ovidius-naso.deviantart.com/ for stills there's :http://timewyrm.deviantart.com/ :http://titaneer.deviantart.com/ :http://yunners.deviantart.com/ and if you don't mind seeing the same scenes, character's and poses half a million times there's :http://nightmarehero.deviantart.com/ Also, if you're looking for videos, I'd recommended dailymotion over youtube for searches. |

Re: Suckermouth.com
Heh. Redneckdemon (myself) has a LOT to learn. Especially about lighting. Also, I've rarely done any actual creation myself. Mostly using things that I bought else-where. But when I can get my hands on a PC that will handle the burden and the time to spend a few hours a day on it, look out!
