Filmmakers just seemed to have a better idea of how to entertain people back then.

"There are two types of people in the world. Those who take what they want, and those who get taken."

That's called "Social Darwinism", young lady. There were two types of men in the world who used it. One of them lived in Nazi Germany, the other in Soviet Russia.

So...yeah. Consider your ass dumped.

Or objectivism, you know, either or. There's something to be said for not putting your dick in crazy, but if she's already a werewolf, then crazy kind of comes with the package.

Whole lotta ugly CGI in that trailer to make up for poorly thought out action shots. Looking forward to the complaints of whichever forumgoer is suckered into spending a movie ticket on this, because I expect any transformation to be minimalist and mostly off screen.

Same here. Sure, I'm looking forward to someone uploading any TF clips from this movie, but that's about it.

To be fair, that does sound like something a high school kid would say.

Lots of twinks and really awful CGI. I expect nothing.

Re: New images from The Howling Reborn.

Wow, that looks awful. Typical Hollywood trying to capitalize on what they think is popular. I can see the meeting that spawned this idea and it went something like this:

"Imagine this...it's Harry Potter meets Twilight...but with werewolves! Yeah, and so people might be duped into thinking it's somehow related, we'll piggyback on the name recognition of a good werewolf movie in the title. People love remakes, and that's what they'll think this is, so you know they'll be lining up to see it."

Producer: "That sounds expensive though. I don't want to spend too much money on this."

Comeback: "Don't worry. For the "monster" scenes, we'll just have quick glimpses, shadows and a lot of shots in the dark. Crappy, cheap CGI will make up the rest. I know a guy who can do it dirt cheap."

Producer: "OK. Sold. Here's a couple thousand dollars. If you go one penny over budget, I'm releasing it 'as is' no matter how awful and unfinished. By the way, here's a tip. You can save some money on the script just by cutting and pasting bad dialogue from other teen drama/horror films. Also, instead of a good soundtrack, just hire one guy with a Triton keyboard and a few cheesy string synth samples. Now, let's go make a straight to DVD-quality movie that even SciFi could top."

I'm sorry there is NEVER....and I mean NEVER going to be a good werewolf movie ever again. This looks like it's going to be be crap. Oh don't get me wrong the scenes look very promising but at the end everyone including me will be very disappointed. Until someone does it...there will never be any good transformation scenes of any sort. Hollywood and the directors of film are just getting lazier with the special effects and the use of CGI. I for one really hate the use of CGI..... no poor CGI. Take the time and use it. Hell Final Fantasy CGI looks better than some of the stuff I watched on TV or DVD.

I'm a bit more optimistic. Ginger Snaps and its sequels were made in a time when CGI was available, but they went for make-up and animatronics and that turned out quite well. And the Being Human series certainly knows how to make a good werewolf TF sequence. There are some directors who actually seem to get it.

Re: New images from The Howling Reborn.

Just watched the trailer. I know a lot of people are going to get angry with me for voicing an opinion, but I'm rather sick of all the Twilight cash-ins lately ... this shouldn't even have the title The Howling attached to it. Sorry.
