Re: Zombeavers
There was also some truly god-awful schlock.
I can understand the need for visual stimulae, but given Hollywood's propensity for taking a massive dump on the subcultures they supposedly represent, I'd just as soon take a halfway decent story with no effects to cheeseball garbage with $50 of obvious CGI. Fool me once, shame on me; fool me twice - man, get that bullshit off my premium channels!

Re: Zombeavers
I'm still telling you people companies that do shitty CG will do just as shitty with props and makeup. Its not a CG problem, is a production quality problem, CG just takes less actor prep time and less space in warehouse rentals.
Then again, I cant really enjoy anything on my TV anymore as there is something off with the sharpness and framerate that makes EVERYTHING look cheesy and amateurish as hell. Even LotR and Star Wars. |

Re: Zombeavers
In case anyone in the New York City area has any interest in attending the Tribeca Film Festival this weekend, there is supposed to be a screening of Zombeavers.
I'm really curious to hear how much, if any, process is in the film besides what we saw in the trailer. If you get to see it, please post your thoughts on here! |

Re: Zombeavers
Just found this interview with actress Lexi Atkins from "Zombeavers"
http://www.news-gazette.com/arts-ent...xi-atkins.html This part sounds interesting: "My character has the biggest transformation. They put a lot of effort into the creature effects in that scene," Atkins says. "It took hours of work before going on set." So maybe we will see more than just some beaver teeth? |

Re: Zombeavers
While I don't have high expectations (and don't think we will see a full transformation here), I'm still hoping to see just a little bit more than the trailer revealed. Would be funny if she's growing a beaver's tail at least.

Re: Zombeavers
Interesting quote, doubt we will see it happen though.
"Rubin elaborates on Hutch Dano’s reaction to Lexi Atkins’ transformation: “She’s gonna be on medication for the rest of her life.” “He just nailed that so well that we all just fell off of our chairs,” Rubin recalls. “He’s treating it like it’s a real medical condition, and she has a giant tail whapping up and down and teeth growing out of her face.” |

Re: Zombeavers
Yeah I cannot wait to see how that scene turned out. Sounds like of all the characters that get bitten and turn, she is the one they spent the most time on showing the TF, which is great for us!
Now let's just hope they didn't edit the whole sequence down to like 4 seconds... |
