Re: New Werewolf Project

Im not after money from the community, im after their feedback for what they wouldlike to see. Once we have a teaser trailer you will see that etc etc

If people dont want to be involved then fine, but we will release details at our pace and not yours.

The bottom line is you will see everything you need if/when we launch a crowd funding campaign.

I feel there's a fundamental misunderstanding here. You have already stated you are going to be seeking crowd funding, telling us that after asking what we want to see implies you would like us to contribute not only ideas but funds. If that's not the case you shouldn't have mentioned it. Furthermore I didn't ask for the details of any upcoming project, only of your studio's previous completed works. You did state your studio has released two music videos, and partially completed a web-series, so there should be something to share that would be representative of the quality of work your studio produces. It's really too much to ask to see any of those previous works?

Re: New Werewolf Project

The real question is why is it so vital to YOU?

But I'm sorry, like i said at this stage i am only interested in discussing what content people would like to see in the sequence. if you have no thoughts on this then please refrain from derailing this thread further

I already explained the reasons behind my asking, the reasons why anyone would be hesitant to support a project after seeing many they'd supported just dry up and blow away. I'm not the only person who's wary of supporting future projects, or even the only person who'd brought it up in this thread. You brought up all these things in your original post, the studio, it's past works, but you won't share anything about the studio itself or the past works it produced. You mentioned the crowdfunding, you asked people what they want to see, two and two is still four, so yes it looks like you are planning to ask us for money so that the things we want to see will get put into a video. So flat out what I'm asking is for you to show the videos your studio has produced so that people can see the kind of works you're inevitably going to be asking money for. It doesn't seem like you'd even be here if you were not thinking of doing that. As a potential backer of a future project I'd want to have some clue as to the quality of work the studio produces before even thinking about investing a dime. Your consistent refusal to acknowledge that fundamental concept or to extend that professional courtesy just leads me to believe that it's a project that won't actually be completed, just like a dozen others that people had proposed to this community since it's inception. Your attitude toward being questioned about simple things and mistaking even mild skepticism as acts of hostility is frustrating and only causes further skepticism.

It's not a derailment if we're talking about the things you brought up in your original post.

Re: New Werewolf Project

Your entitled to your opinion. This is a horror production that i wanted the process community to have a say in the werewolf aspects of the film. Crowd funding wise i will be targeting the horror community so please dont have any comprehension that you would be asked for any financial contribution for this. there may be a kickstarter or there may not depending on a the outcome of a meeting that took place yesterday. Have you thought that maybe my reluctance give in to your demands ( becUse thats what they are) is due to people involved in the project not wanting their details to appear on this forum directly from myself?

Thank you to everybody who has answered my initial request for feedback of what you wanted to see.

I'll have some more details about how preproduction of the project will proceed next once im back home

You guys seriously need to stop getting ahead of yourself. The dude has said at length, and multiple times, that this is the very early stages, and he is simply asking for conceptual ideas from people; nothing more. Congrats, your reading comprehension was good enough to cherry-pick the word "crowdfunding", but he also made it clear that any asking for money is way down the road, and as such, there is nothing to show yet. If the OP already had a link to a kickstarter or something, and was begging people for donations already, then I would completely agree with you guys. But, as of right now, berating the guy, asking for the moon, when he hasn't asked for a dime yet (and clearly said he would have plenty proof of concept when he finally does ask) serves no purpose but to drive people away.

I'm not asking for details of the current project. I'm asking to see the previously completed projects. I've said this multiple times now. I want to see the works the studio has already produced, not things that haven't been produced yet. I explained the reasons for that, is there a point in restating them when they're going to be ignored a fourth time?

I stated in every single post that all I wanted to see was the previous works the studio had produced. I didn't ask for things that did not exist. Let's not comment on the reading comprehension of others when you clearly had a lapse in it yourself.

My studio has produced, filmed and released 2 music videos
I've been referring back to this, asking to see these, hoping these will be some indicator of the level of quality one could expect from this studio. Apparently an impossible task to acknowledge that this was said, that these are supposed to exist and that anyone would want to see them.

Ya know what, just forget it. Don't even care anymore.

Re: New Werewolf Project

Just to inject a bit more positivity into this thread, I'm also really into the sound of the transformation. Minimal effects are fine for me as long as the sound is good and the girl is cute. I have two clips that, imo, are good examples.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60mSLaUV4P8
This one has decent build up (another important aspect, but when time and money are involved I understand the need to skip it). I liked the mix of the girl's noises and the animal noises, switching back and forth a bit is most effective to me. They did a good job with how a pained, changing wolf would sound, stuck somewhere between a whine and a growl. I also don't mind the rubbery stretching noises when her back expands, but a crunching sound would probably fit better.

https://youtu.be/Sn2hySR91Tk?t=3m34s
For all the grief this project has caused us, I actually thought this was a really good off screen transformation in terms of sound. The half howl half whine right before she finishes changing is perfect, as is the transition from girl to animal groans.

That said, the girl doesn't need to be talking or making some noise the entire time. I've seen quite a few amateur TF clips where the girl never stops talking or is always making some weird noise. Too much gasping and moaning during the transformation makes it sound fake. The clips above were relatively short, so they avoided it just based on length, but in an extended clip it is something you have to be careful of. You can even make silence part of the transformation. You have the girl grasp at her throat and move her mouth like she is trying to gasp or scream but can't because her vocal cords are changing and she can't breathe.

Above all, just do what you can. Despite the way people often make it seem, I doubt anyone on this forum is going die from excessive disappointment lol. Anyway, hope this helps, and good luck with the project.

I've seen you mention this on some other threads think it was Missa's thread. Not sure about this maybe something gradual like ginger snaps. It will or depend on the sequence we writeup
