First off, I totally agree that you should support what you like so more of it can be made.

But there is something to be said about the non-profit part of these communites as well. People getting stuff for free sometimes make stuff themselves and give it back to the community; also for free, just because they like the appreciation that they get sometimes. It's like the GTS Oekaki (http://www.ta-host.com/gtsoekaki/), you see work there that people have contributed for free, and it's not about money at all.

I guess what I'm saying is, contribute anything you can, be it artwork, project help, or donations- that's the kind of people we need in the community. ^_^

Plus, getting something for free that you would normally have to pay for is illegal... it's copyright infringement.

You know, I might be one of the few people who should be asking for Magnificent Milkmaid scans, because I sent those bastards a paypal and never got my comic. I went through phone tag ring around the rosie, but according to them, somewhere between my bank and theirs the money "got lost" and I never wound up getting my comic, even though the money was irrevocably subtracted from my account.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't still try and support WLP, but just make double sure on everything before you hit send, because people getting burned is not unheard of.

A) YOU ARE NOT POOR. If you "don't get an allowance," that doesn't make you poor. Being unemployed doesn't matter jack if you DON'T HAVE ANY BILLS TO PAY! Imagine getting 10 bucks a week, but having the government take 2 of them back right away, and being expected to spend all of the rest on your food, clothes, rent, utilities, and whatever remainder you have is immediately eaten up by the massive debt you must repay.

That's poor. Move out of your house, get a job that sucks, and pay for all your own crap. THEN you can tell me you're poor.

B) Yes, you ARE cheap. That's fine. Nobody's mad at you for being cheap. I'm cheap. But I don't steal from other people. That's not being cheap. That's being an asshole. Additionally, you're not just cheap, you're LAZY! You aren't even willing to do your own goddamn dirty work! You're demanding OTHER PEOPLE find you a torrent. Keeerist, boy. If you're going to steal, at least have the decency to do it yourself. Don't act like it's MY job to find your worthless ass crap that you want.

C) You don't have to even go into a convention. You can order the comics online. And really, dude... You're posting on a forum about guys who enjoy watching boobs grow. I'm okay with it. You're okay with it. But if some fat guy in a suit scares you, yet going through dozens of pages of dickgirl manga (one of the main characters in MM is a DG) seems a-okay... You've got some interesting priorities.

D) I could care less about your town. If you can't get access to it, that's life. I can't buy a bigass house because I live in the city. I'm not going to walk up to a realtor and demand she steal me one. I shut my mouth, enjoy my tiny apartment and taciturn roommate, and get on with my life.

Grow. Up.

It's a point of principle now.

People have used the excuses Shadow has for years - they're as weak now as they've always been. The "I can't afford it" excuse really tickles my ribs. Even if you're living on social security with a couple of kids to feed, you could save up the money.

If you're a fucking cheap-skate who would rather see a company go out of business so you can get one comic than pay a fair price for multiple issues - at least have the testicular fortitude to admit such.

Soylent Orange does have a point though - I know someone else that got burned when they didn't get an order from WLP... Someone really ought to get Kris Overstreet round here.

1-888-Comic Book (1-888-266-4226). Call that toll free number, or use the online equivalent, to find a comic shop near you. Go there, find the Adult section, see what they have.

Or, I don't know, buy a good comic. Magnificent Milkmaid may cater to a niche market, but it's still crap. I own the first issue - cost me $3.50 - and I'd gladly be rid of it if I could get anything in return. You can get much better porn for free (without stealing it) online. If you're going to support a creator, you're better off going with one who can be counted on to regularly produce quality work.

HEY!

The second issue is a lot funnier...The new artist is rather good, and did a lot of sight gags.

I own them both. It's not the best as porn...but it is a pretty funny read. (And the "bonus" comics are sorta funny, too...)
