My bad Dsjourn. For what's it worth, I do appreciate what you were trying to do setting up a backstory. Us writers need to stick together, no?

OBJECTION! (Update Once Again)

Well, after a busy as heck month, with switching jobs (back into New York City, yee-haw), dealing with family affairs, the joys of Passover, and preparing for another fun Convention (TekkoshoCon in Pittsburgh for anyone other then JodaGee who I know'll be there), I found time to pen another story. This also allowed for additional commissions to be finished by the ever amazing and industrious Ronzo, so it all worked out.

This one is a bit shorter than the last, but should still be interesting enough for those who want to read it. Despite the lack of commentary, this thread has over 5,000 hits so I assume that many enjoyed the pics and story I've posted thus far. I'll try to have the next up quicker, I promise. Here's hoping that Lorekeep and others discover the thread this time and more leave comments.

On another note, it's my birthday tomorrow, or in about 18 minutes by my clock's current reckoning. Otanjobi Omedetou to me.

And following up story post, here's the commission/illustration. A bit simpler then the others, posted already and those not seen yet, but Ronzo's been quite busy. If anyone feels like giving it a background after reading the fic, go right ahead, lol.

De-lurking to say this. The FFVII fic was great. If people actually read that all the way through, you get even more process than the picture gives you. In my opinion, the picture can't quite do justice to the story.

Well Disjorn, I wanted to let you know I read your FMP growth story, and loved it. Sorry you didn't get a whole lot of praise. I kinda know how that goes. Sadly, the art of writing is generally considered to be inferior to the visual ideal of a picture.

Anyway, I hope to see more of you and Ronzo's work on these.

Not as good as the Full Metal Panic one, but still a great fic. Thanks.

And that's why I fear for our youth.

I'm glad to see you're writing again Dsojorn. Also, happy B-day.

Update Part 4: The Revenge of the Son of the Update

Greetings as usual to everyone. Been busy as ever with the new job and writing little snippets whenever I get a random chance. I've got the first bits, at least, of two more stories in the works, though I have no idea when they'll be ready. I think I'm going to release the next one in bits like stories are usually posted on this sort of forum.

In the meantime, I figured I'd post something good that I don't even have to write anything for, so the thread doesn't go to seed again if nothing else. This week's commission/illustration, for an aqcuaintance in our little group that I actually know offline, is for a One Piece gts/growth fic that I myself didn't write, entitled "One Piece: The Devil's Island". It's a strange crossover with "The Pirates of Dark Water" that sorta works if you squint your eyes and tilt your head a bit at it. As Nami is one of my favorite "anime hotties", I certainly shant protest.

I stress that I'm not taking credit for this fic as I'm going to post it here, but don't know the author as it's not written in the piece and Blar's Depot is unavailable to check the original post. Naturally, should the author chime in and desire its removal, I shall do so posthaste. I had to post it as a .txt file, so just copy the text and paste it to a better writing program.

On the subject of pirates and Ronzo, for anyone still reading that actually visits his DeviantArt site on a constant basis, I commissioned a counterattack pic for his recent "Ninjas Vs. Pirates" piece at Anime Boston this weekend that should be up soon. Gotta represent the pirate side and all that.

:::Story Excerpt:

There was still no sign of the others, or the ship. Worse, Nami's new size would be impossible to board the Going Merry with without crushing the ship like a bath toy. And to top it all off, she had no idea of how to stop or reverse this growth process. What if she never stopped growing? She'd fall off the island and drown!
"That'd be an embarrassing way to go," Nami groaned, even as she continued walking forward. "I don't want to drown."
Then another, odder thought went into Nami's head. If the growth continued, couldn't she eventually reach a point where she'd touch the sea floor? Even going a bit beyond there, she could lie down in the Grand Line and turn it into the world's largest bathtub.
"Now that I could use," Nami chuckled as she imagined the Grand Line being filled with bubbles, barely able to contain the Goddess of the Seas. The tiny ships that sailed unable to move past her huge frame, paying a 300,000 berry toll for the view (if she decided that they wouldn't make good bath toys), the storms doing nothing but warming the water for her...
Hey, I can see One Piece from here!
Luffy?! Why are you on my head?! I'M TAKING A BATH!
Good view.
GET OFF!
But I don't wanna. Hey, meat!
Shaking her head back to reality, common sense took the place of grandiose fantasy. She wasn't going anywhere without a ship, or the others to help steer it. But there was still no...
