I come from a strict "Fuck the parents" background, but as I understand it, not all parents are selfish, invasive, commanding, argumentative, divorcing bastards.

The social life it brings. You only get one shot at college. Everyone's going through the same things. Everyone is eager to talk, fuck, and make new friends. There's a safety net beneath you nearly ensuring that you can't possibly screw up too badly to be caught and put back on your feet. It's a place to let your personality to come out.

I don't remember my mom's place ever having those kind of perks.

Okay. If someone offers you a crutch you're certainly welcome to use it. Some of us had to learn to walk on our own though.

It happens though. Some of us get lucky...some of us don't. But if we're willing to live and go on we can make it through. It's not so good for me either but hey...I got the education to back it up.
