What addon is that in the first picture? I've never seen one that does that with character portraits.

they didnt stack very well in the first place, its not that big a loss.
If you're an engineer try stacking "you feel bigger" with one of the soul splits. or all 3 if you can, tho it's damned hard. 4 hr cooldown on each teleport, and you could end up with "You feel smaller". And can't you ask a nice shammy to cast heroism on you for a bit?

You're right - there are tons of size-changing buffs in the game ^^ And they're all useable an my server (Wich is, btw, not illegal. It runs an OpenSource Server Software, you don't have to modify or crack any files in the wow folder and as long as I don't post the IP anywhere public, it's perfectly legal ^^) Besides, you can alter the size of chracers directly in there using GM-Commands. If anyone has requests for screenshots (size goes from 0.01 zu 500, 1 is the normal size) just post them!

As far as I know.. private servers are still illegal no matter what spin you put on them to say they're not.

I run mine now for one and a half years and as I said, they're perfectly legal, as long as you have the game box at home. You've already paid the game, the server is a service you're paying. And, it's not allowed to modify or the gamefiles, wich is why the old servers were illegal. The new one is OpenSource, and programmed completely from the scratch, and as long as you don't use it in public, so it'd be accessable for everyone, without approval, it's legal to run it.

And the server software was reverse engineered. Enter DMCA lawsuit in 5... 4...
Literally, that's all that has to be said to make the involved programs illegal on US soil, and quite a few international countries that will stand behind those laws. I find it very hard to believe that someone made a from-scratch replica of WoW, down to accuracy on the maps, without violating the hell out of that provision. |

It's an opensource project, and quite official. You can see it here:
http://www.mangosproject.org/forum/i...?showtopic=542 "you are not allowed to use MaNGOS for hosting MaNGOS servers for public usage." That's why the IP is only told to friends. because It'd be illegal if I would post it somewhere in public. It's perfectly fine for Privat useage, wich includes freinds. |

Ah. I see. It's because you don't advertise it that it's not illegal.
.... and what legal system do you follow again? The "it's only illegal if you get caught" school? - Edit - And just for fun, skimmed through the End User License Agreement. You know, that "I agree" part when you installed their client. Here's a rather interesting section. Quote:
There were a couple other sections that also made third party servers fishy, but that was the one that pretty much said "No." End o' debate, sonny. I'm not saying don't do it, I'm just saying "Admit it's illegal and you know it." Last edited by PrBlahBlahtson; 06-12-2007 at 06:17 PM. |

Okay, yeah, I remember that one ^^
Anyway, I don't think they really care what I do since I'm paying the normal game as well I'm using this server just for Roleplaying and purposes that aren't possible on the normal version. Besides, they'd interfere with my privacy if they'd track my connections to see if i'm connecting to a P-Server wich is illegal as well, so there's nothing to worry about. As I said, I run this server now more or less regually for two or three years without any trouble. And I mean, really, that server is not alternative to the normal servers. The missing Communety alsone is reason enought to stay on the normal ones. |
