I took a look at it. It doesn't go anywhere. Although, there is a character named Ann who gets mutated into a three-breasted cannibal hybrid, but she shakes off her Martian programming and stops being evil almost immediately.

Yah, it's been a long time since I read it, I remember it not going anywhere but I'm pretty sure Colleen was at least temporarily evil and enslaved, unless she was faking it. I think she was presented to the head Martian as a gift and she seemed quite compliant.

Pretty weird with all the big build up and the cover tease and everything, it's like a lot of writers know there's a great deal of interest in such big dramatic shifts in character but they shy away from delving deeply into it. I mean they're just characters in a work of fiction, you're not really doing anything bad if you explore what it would be like if evil triumphed some of the time.

Of course the series was kind of a mess and ended pretty abruptly anyway.

Yep. She pretty much mutated offscreen for two issues. In issue 7, she eats one Martian that gets too close to her cage, and then is given to one of the Martian leaders and is all "Grrrr, I like being an evil hybrid!" (to be continued!)

Cut to next issue, which is nothing but baseball.
