Re: TF Flash Game

Nice game...Can't wait to see more.. ^_^

By the way, in the first area of The Woods, if you jump to the right from standing on the "to forest" sign, you land on a invisible platform it seems...You can pretty much bypass the whole first area that way by walking on it to the end.

Not sure if it was meant to be there...If not, then I found a little bug... >_>

As far as I know, any program that can view SWFs should work. I'm doing fine with SWF&FLV Player (REAL imaginitive, huh...), and I assume most versions of Flash should work.

Re: TF Flash Game

It's possible you haven't unzipped it first?

It's in a Zip file. If you have XP or Vista, you can easily unzip it. If you don't, you need to download WinZip or WinRar to unzip it first.

I can't upload SWFs to the board since it's not an accepted filetype.

Second train of thought: are you downloading the text file or the zip file? Get the file in the first post.

Re: TF Flash Game

So, there is an alley cat in this game?

Edit2: Yeah just get too many milk and you are a cat^^

Edit3: I found the farm level of version 4 unbeatable, you just cant jump that high...or there is a cheat to do it?.

And a water level with mermaids, seals and other water creatures tfs would be cool...

What? Dude, just jump between the egg piles on the way down. It's extremely easy.

Easily opened in an internet browser. Firefox or Internet Explorer....open it in there and it works. (assuming you really have flash installed).
No hassle.
(alternately get a free flashplayer which can be found through google when searching for swf).

Btw:

Fun game. Despite having the annoyances of a platformgame which they all have it is pretty wellmade, some challenges, but nothing really too hard.
The tf's are fun to watch, match with the settings and overall amusing.
Only comment is that maybe some sound would be cool too, (assuming it didnt have that). And offcourse more levels.

Oh and the extra thing after beating all lvls of a stage (or stages of a lvl)...very good idea. Muchly appreciated

Overall: good job, keep it up

As someone else posted, sometimes Flashplayer is installed just for your browser. You can either download the standalone flash player or use the attachment at the bottom of this page. Simply put that html file in the same directory as the game and it'll work.

Or, you can just drag and drop the .swf file into the browser or File->Open the file in the browser. It's totally up to you.

Yes, I got the idea from Dontino.

I'm guessing you want the full transformation? I posted earlier that I've fiddled around with the concept before. I don't have a hard time sticking ears or a tail onto a sprite. I have a hard time drawing a sprite from scratch. I looked around for a long time for sprites of animals and they just don't exist. I found one for a cat, but it was too small and I couldn't even resize it to look correct. I abandoned the idea shortly afterwards.

Had I even been able to make the sprite, making the transformation in Flash would be even more daunting. It's easy to do what I'm doing now. Just erasing one part at a time, really (though the real process work behind the scenes is a little more complicated).

I'm not a furry fan, so apologies if it looks furry. That wasn't my intention. I was going for a balance between kemonomimi and kemono.

I'm also working with the idea of sound effects. Sound isn't hard to add in Flash--it's getting a proper sound that's the concern of mine. One of the minor issues I had with Dontino's game were some of the sound effects. Fortunately they were easily disabled.

That extra thing was meant to be a preview of what's to come. I just didn't (and still don't) have an idea for the pokemon stage. I think I wrote earlier that I want to do pokebattles but I don't know how. Yet.

Somehow I got on a stint with translating Japanese stuff for anon on 4chan. I'll get back to work on this thing now. I have a free weekend ahead of me thanks to midterms being all this week, so I might actually get something done.
