Ok good point BUT I'm talking about movie wise. Those are some good examples but I want to see more stuff that that in movies not just TV. But you do have some awesome points. And the funny thing I have Ginger Snaps.....why can't they do more stuff like that.

Re: New images from The Howling Reborn.

As I said before about some other movies related, I couldn't care less about the movie itself. I just want a woman turning into a werewolf, no more, no less. And yes, I'd better prefer animatronics and make up effects over CGI.
So, this could be twilight-esque, a poor sequel of Howling, or even a comedy version of the Wolfman. But I reeeally don't care. They won't beat up AAWIL.

It really isn't too much to ask is it? (Well...yeah, apparently it is) Yup, I answered my own question.

Re: New images from The Howling Reborn.

According to the trend of exponential diminishing returns for sequels, this movie will be at best, 1/10,000,000th as good as the original movie. Seven sequels really stacks up those zeros.

The Howling was great, but I think we're getting into singularity generating suckage potential here, just due to the above. Heck, it's amazing if this actually makes it into theaters, weren't the last four movies direct to DVD?

The sad thing about this whole conversation is that the bar for what the true fans consider quality was set almost 3 decades ago!

Re: New images from The Howling Reborn.

Also is it just me or does it look like the werewolves in this aren't very wolf looking like in the original Howling and look more like the Wolfman movie? I don't see any wolf heads or muzzles anywhere in the preview. How hard can it be to hear the outcry of werewolf fans the world over for Hollywood to give us just one more cool transformation scene like in the old days? I mean most movies today, even bad ones cost far more money than American Werewolf did. For example, American Werewolf in London cost $10 million to make. By comparison, the 2010 remake of The Wolfman cost $150 million to make. Look at the obvious differences in what directors want these days versus the old days. Could you imagine a Rick Baker driven transformation that cost $5 million? I think it would scare the hell out of us and put it at the number 1 spot in best transformations ever created for sure.

On a side note, did you guys know that Mistress Taylor is working on doing transformations now? Vampire, Pig, maybe even Werewolf? She's got a more Hollywood style make-up artist under her wing now, so we may just see some actual old school stuff coming out soon. This of course leads me to asking people in the community here, just HOW bad do they WANT to see an old school transformation? With no shortage of total crap ones that have come out over the years (Werewolf, Dark Wolf, Cursed, Werewolf in a Woman's Prison, Werewolf Reborn, and now Howling Reborn) wouldn't it be nice to see an old school transformation done for us based on OUR ideas and not some jack off in a business suit? I'm really thinking if people were to donate to Miss Taylor even a fraction of the costs, I bet we could see something we've all wanted to see for years done pretty well by her and her film crew. She's got the talents and if she had the money for the props, I bet she could have the film too. I'm not talking millions here, maybe a few thousand bucks, but I wanted to know from all of you, just how far you're willing to go to see some new stuff as good (within reason of course) as the old school transformations we enjoyed so much. Surely something as decent if not better than the original Ginger Snaps movie could be accomplished. Any opinions? Post here, lets see what happens.

Good points!!!! I totally agree with you on this. I wish I had the funds to support this. I would love to make a TRUE werewolf movies with good transformations. But one thing....when fans get what they want will they be satisfied? There's always critics and they will always find something wrong with anything you do.

I'Ve already suggested we pool our money and commission some top quality stuff but I got shot down, would need an honest and dedicated project manager type. That said, this movie looks like utter shit and will wait for any good bits at all to get bit torrent or see on YouTube

Re: New images from The Howling Reborn.

Well we shouldn't count out the power of people to give money to things that need to happen when it comes to film. I've seen donations for people to buy new computers bring in $1200 in less than two days, and that's just to support a webcomic. Granted the audience here is different, but so too are the people that can donate and get something rolling. Remember that if this becomes a possibility, no one person needs to throw in heaping amounts of money. I'm sure even $20 here and there would really add up over the course of a few weeks or maybe even a month. Let me do some digging around and ask some questions and see where it goes after that. Since it's Miss Taylor and she has her own store and website, I'm sure it's possible she could set up a donation bar of some sort and set a goal to reach and see if we can reach it. Give me a couple days and maybe something good will come of the idea.
