It's more likely that an Alien-type impregnation occurred here, except that instead of bursting through the chest, it caused her to explode. Now that I think about it, it would be much more awesome if she turned into a human/flea hybrid.

It's obvious that the medical team has dealt with bites before since they recognized the symptoms. The people who brought her behind the screen were in hazmat suits and did not have weapons. Also there was no firing after she 'sploded, so if it was a pregnancy thing then the soldiers must be reeeeallly stupid, which they didn't seem to be. More likely it was some sort of toxin transferable by blood and the bite itself. Think about it, they bring the person into the med center, they explode and send toxic blood over everyone next to them, then those people explode and thus set off a chain reaction killing a bunch. Either that or the bites just make people explode without the toxin being able to spread but that just doesn't seem like an intelligent evolution. This is of course following my own theory that the monster is some form of alien shock troop, or maybe an invasion in and of itself which

I would say she explodes as a result of a timed chemical reaction between what is given by the bite and the chemicals in the body.

Wait, at the end?!?! I was watching that last little clip closely too. Just in case something like a "precursor" was caught on their tape. I didn't see anything on that shot.
