Apparently there's a new "Jack the Giant Killer" movie coming out next year.


It looks like it's not really a remake of the old one unfortunately, it seems they're going with the beanstalk tale, rather than the giant killer one. A princess is abducted in this new movie, but I doubt it'll have a princess-to-witch transformation as in the old one. It looks too cgi-actiony to bother with weird elements.

Shame, because there is actually a princess under an evil influence in the original fairy tale of Jack the Giant Killer. It's hard to tell if they just stole the cooler sounding title for this new movie or if they've mixed elements of the two stories together.
