Pretty much along those lines. Though I have to quote sctoagntu's great post over at hypnochan.

1. The villain had to drain the DDD of energy so it'd convert Escalayer back into her regular form.
2. The villain then set about corrupting Escalayer in her regular (non-sentai) form. While doing this, he was also recharging her DDD. So ...
3. The psychologically-halfway-corrupted Escalayer returns to her sentai battle armor.
4. The fully-psychologically-corrupted Escalayer then becomes physically corrupted as well and transforms into a dark Escalayer.

Normally inoino combines the psychological and physical corruption stages together instead of taking them separately in sequence like this. But what really sets this story apart from other corruption stories is the bit that comes before with Numbers 1+2 in the list above. A two-stage or even a three-stage progression is typical for corruption, but a four-stage one!? Quite a lot of work just to corrupt one sentai! lol

Another thing I liked about this story was how he visually showed Escalayer forgetting about Kyouhei by gradually whitening out his name bit by bit towards the end of the story. A nice touch.

Okay, I'm going to check out this anime now, I know the girl with light blue hair is doing evil to get a wish it seems from what I can get from /u/, HOWEVER! It also appears that she is getting turned on by the villainess, who is DAMN SEXY~ So, kinda Stockholm syndrome but I'll have to dive deeper for more info, until, then... pics and gifs and junk.

Also, while I'm on subject, this might of been mentioned before, but the character you start off playing in Resident Evil Revelations(Rachael) does become a zombie(or ooze in this case, which is interesting because from what I'm reading it says that ooze are primarily males and females turn into some lobster like things, and she is unkillable throughout the game). Not the prettiest(it's RE after all), but not that bad either...
