Here's a question about our fetish being less mainstream , if its not mainstream why is it featured in so much media, cartoons, movies, comics, etc? Its not that the idea isn't mainstream its the idea of people getting their "kicks" off of it that isn't , and the wiliness for those that have the interest to admit it. Remember before Playboy came out pretty much all nudity was seen as a bad and dirty thing in a few short years it made mild nudity pretty much accepted with people openly admitting they do like it in some way so can be any fetish if it embraces the fact that the truth is there may be more people out there that knows or even likes it then we know. Sorry if this is starting to sound like a rant. I have been telling people in this community for over 10 years now not to be so ashamed about the fetish and at least be a little open about it to those that are close to us.

Because it is not seen as a sexual content.

I don't really know why I want to meet up with other fans and make friends out of fetishists. Maybe it's an attempt to get more comfortable with myself and what I like, or just to not feel so alone in it, and hopefully help others in the process (punnage). But isn't it those non-sexual moments that really created all of us? We didn't see the Avenger Poser series as kids, we didn't see Manic's She-Hulk TF's as kids. We all saw "harmless" cartoon gag TFs and GTSs and fixated on them. I don't think most of us have traumatic moments associated with them, we simply are what we are.

And, really, we have no evidence that creators are or are not feithsists like us. We assume it because we feel so alone and sparse in this, but just because X board has X amount of members doesn't mean that's the summation of fans that exist. What if they just never went looking like we did?

In the minigts center forum they have a map of the world showing the amount of people who visit from all of the countries. And let me tell you there are people like us all over the world. Every country has gts lovers in it. Most of the countries had over twenty, and only one had one person in it.

I dunno, there were some sexual aspects to the giant sexy girl. The intentional upskirt shot, the "I want to go on that ride, Dad" "Me too, son, me too" comments...

And what about the '93 50-ft woman? You're not gonna tell me they saw absolutely no sexual potential in a scene where her breasts are clearly shown to be growing, then she rips out of her dress, then pops her bra...

Yeah, because it's a comedy.
The girl is sexy, she grows, and then she just looks like a "sexy girl who is bigger" who can convey a comical sexual reference. Then, she acts like a drunk godzilla, showing the kind of joke she is, disappearing after a few minutes (or even seconds).
As I said, the audience may find cool a bigger girl, just because she is "more". But there's nothing behind this, no actual interest, no meaningful arousing and, most of all, no fantasies after those 2 minutes.

If I'm right that movie is a remake of a much older movie whose aim was to support feminism, portraying it through the allegory of a huge and dominant woman.

But creators are just a few people. Even if they have the strongest fetish, they must cover it under a mainstream veil, because they must bring the audience what the audience wants to see (or can accept).
For example, I can't say for sure that Tim Burton is not a necrophile, but he has to deal with death in a "normal" way if he wants to be a director

The original one... I'm not so sure but it's hard to say that giant women aren't clearly empowered.

Certainly, it's far more likely to be played for laughs or just straight. There ARE some exceptions. How they got the 90s She-Hulk TF past the censors when she's a mere whit away from a screaming orgasmic epiphany. In Japan, the flow of non-mainstream stuff is much stronger than how it is in many other countries, so you can find just about everything about just about everything. But you don't have to forget that they create 1000 manga and 100 anime per second XD and the fetish-related productions do not definitely go on TV at 4pm.
The GTS etc. scenes in mainstream media are not that different than the ones we already talked about: they're not intended to arouse the audience.
