Re: Giantess Club

I'm not ignoring what you mean, Dex, but as it pertains to the Giantess Club, $3 isn't a complete waste even for a few less than stellar comics they've put out. Now, if I were to buy a single, <15-page comic for $10, and not get any satisfaction despite how well it was advertised and the previews available; then yeah, I wouldn't want to give my money to them anymore.

Your "advice" can be applied to just about anything and everything that we as consumers already take into account. Lord knows how many comics (Marvel, DC, etc.) I've read that I didn't feel any satisfaction in the final product. Does that mean I would forsake them by no longer buying any of their books? Of course not, because there will always be something else that will actually be worth my money. And the only research there is to do that pertains to this medium is who's writing/drawing and what's it about. Not a whole lot more to go on, aside from how much it's being sold for. As much as I hate paying $4 for a Marvel comic, the ones that I do buy for that amount are ones that I do enjoy getting on a monthly basis.

And besides, despite how terrible it is to have such a broken system in place, the option to only buy a single vs paying the monthly subscription shows that GC are willing to reshape their business model to appease those who can't afford to put out $X/month.

I recently came up with an idea for a sequel that I think is pretty unique. While I have one story that really needs to get finished first (another sequel,) I'll try and get started on "Managing Expectations" and hopefully the club will accept it.
While the responses I've gotten have been great and overall positive, I've always wondered if my comics for the two clubs were only appealing to a small audience as they are pretty tame for fetish material.

I would also like to add that while I have also experienced problems with the site, I do like the idea of what they're trying to do with individual purchases, and I have received all purchases no more than a day after contacting them with the issue.

I don't want to go OT, but well, i have to say "Exeeds expectations" was one of my favourite as well. Both the story and the main character were expecially good.

Re: Giantess Club

So... As usual, I allowed some time to pass by and bought one of the newer comics just to try my luck. While I'm doing the same song and dance of emailing them about no download, I discovered they reworked the site to allow free user sign-ups to manage and track purchases. And while I saw the aforementioned comic I show up in my order history, there's still no link provided to download.

A small change is better than none, I suppose.

Re: Giantess Club

I bought a single chapter from Giantess Club to see what all of the fuss is about, and I did not get what paid for. Thus, I have written them concerning this matter. This is a copy of that e-mail:

Dear, Sir/Mame, I just bought a comic from your site Giantess Club, and I only bought chapter 4 of pmd (For $2.99) AND NOTHING ELSE! I DO NOT WANT TO BUY "ABOVE THE LAW-COMPLETE COMIC"! Also I did not receive my chapter 4 of pmd (For $2.99). I want what I paid for please. DO NOT CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD FOR ANYTHING ELSE, OR I WILL BE FORCED TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION. I AM aware that many of your customers suspect you of "ripping them off" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_fraud

Please DO NOT prove them right. All I want is my paid for merchandise, chapter 4 of pmd (for $2.99), and to NOT be charged for any further.

Edward_the_4th,

I ...could...... rip into you about your approach to that e-mail message, but in all honesty I am going to play my twist-of-fate card here. Your forcefulness might be just what those Giantess Club mods need in order to realize the gravity of the situation. If they are in fact screwing their customers, then maybe this will make them realize that we are already suspicious of their business practices over the last several months. I am curious to see what rhetoric they respond back with. B-)

Re: Giantess Club

I guess I should stop talking to and buying from them, altogether, since I'm the honey badger in this situation.

Re: Giantess Club

Just wanted to say that if you are looking for an alternative to Giantess Club please consider trying Giantess Fan. I have spent many hours working hard to create a good and functional website for GTS comics.

Right now people are really diggin' the commission request system. Plus all of the comics are written by myself or other members. I am always open to feedback and personally deal with support emails.

Re: Giantess Club

Giantess Fan seems to be a better, more fan-centric alternative to Giantess Club. Giantess Club isn't run by people who have the fetish.

Re: Giantess Club

I was a member during the first few months, and the content is good, but I'd rather have a pay-per comic like Giantess Club has recently done. Just my personal preference for these sort of things.

Personally agreed here, I don't want to pay for a full subscription to only get 1 or 2 comics that are actually worth my money.

Both sites have their pros and cons.
