Re: BE Story Club Presents: Spells R Us #4
Ha, beat me to it, Lore.
When it comes to commissioning artist, there are three options: 1. Good 2. Fast 3. Cheap Pick two. |

Obviously. I wish I had such wonderful choices as regards authors.

Don't forget, Soylent--with what we're talking about, it's sometimes a matter of "pick one".

Re: BE Story Club Presents: Spells R Us #4
Soylent,
In my animation internship, I was taught the 3 qualities were 1)Faster 2)Better 3)Cheaper It was something my internship supervisor told me all studios wanted, but could only settle for 2. With my current comic, I'm settling for Better(because I'm also a fan of my own art), and cheaper (hey, I'm making this for free). While I was not totally happy with Part 4 of SRU, the most I did was raise an eyebrow, and keep going on down the road. While the 'Dream-Girl' story did not end on a happy note, it does make me wonder. We see only so many mind-boggling art and story pieces, but it seems that most of them rarely ever get finished. 'Dream Girl' being one, and Johnny Swell's 'Berrygirl' being another. Though I wonder if there's some kind of curse with putting the word 'girl' in the title. (Hopefully, my comic is safe). I had though of submitting one piece that would have been a very generic BE story to BESC, but currently, my work likes in Body Expansion. Though for me, my concept would be a combination of ideas. |

Well, in the list, 2 and 3 are usually the better way to go, so long as you have patience (Just ask Hmmm!
![]() But for a commercial venture where you're expected to have results every month, something's gotta give if you want to make quota each month, which I guess explains the price hike. |
