hmmm

I just tried it and it worked fine. On the first page you have to scroll to the very bottom to find the Enter Link, which is in English. Then click on the little Green Button at the very top that says BBS.

I thought I had grabbed the link that went straight to the gallery. Sorry bout that.

This is why I leave finding Japanesse stuff up to everyone else that is 10x better at it then me. I just found this by accident.

this might work too

What you've latched onto here is an oekaki bulletin board. I just tried tracking down his site, but it looks like he's taken it down and only left this page.

Well, there's an update on his "top" page now -- a note dated 9/5 indicates that there is work going on at the site. So it's not abandoned, but is apparently being reworked...

the reason the site doesnt work is because he blocked all foreign IP adresses since they bug and demand him alot for art and such , as well as post in his bbs's in english without bothering to translate it in japanese.

so you need a japanese pc or at least live in japan to view his site.

most japanses sites do this because we dont know how to behave and be thankful they display their talents so we tend to get greedy and crave for more so it can get out of hand i mean take all the "4chan like sites" for exsample lol

maybe over time he will unban foreign IP's

Exactly. I find it disrespectable if some random english idiot posts on a japanese art blog asking for pictures of a scooby doo character.

It's not dishonorable as much as it is just stupid. It's disrespectful, certainly, but not dishonorable.

And seeing as no one's pointed it out yet.. that's igabito's site, who was a pretty well known WG artist until he started with the foreign IP blockers because a few dozen lurkers decided, "Hey, let's bother this japanese guy until he gives us art!"

I think he'd be better off setting up a hotlink blocker isntead of just closing himself off all together.

Its kinda sad though that he was driven to such an extreem. I started an Igabito yahoo group when his site was closed off as a way to bring together all the art from the yahoo groups and a couple of sites. Hes actually joined which I was supirsed by aand posted a work of his that no ones seen. I'm not sure if hes upset that I did this or what he never really responds to his emails and no I did not send 3000 emails demanding shit only 2 one to welcome him to the group and second ask what happened to his site.
here's the group
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Igabito_art/
do you think that there is a way to use a proxy server to go to his site?
