At the end of the movie the human woman is underwater and the fish man causes her to grow gills on her neck, makes me wonder if in time he changes her more

Its not entirely a TF. She was found by the water, and her scars looked like gills, and are what open up when he heals her in the end.
But its close enough and thematically works too. |
