Upcoming werewolf movies
New movie coming out about werewolves, on a train, called HOWL. Sounds stupid but the trailer looks fantastic.
https://vimeo.com/125571169 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2393827/combined As always, I try to not get my hopes up in terms of tf content but we do some snippets of a woman changing and overall the movie looks like it might be a fun watch. Crying Wolf is a movie that has been in trying to get a distributor for awhile and according to this facebook page, it seems like it will finally get a full release soon https://www.facebook.com/cryingwolfthemovie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3f8mHvAS5pE while its obvisouly very low budget it looks like it will be a good B-movie, also, a friend of mine has seen it and confirmed there are a couple of female tfs worth noting in the movie. One movie I cant find much on is "American Werewolf Project" I only bring it up because I was told that it was a decent low budget horror film and that it had a female werewolf in it. https://www.facebook.com/TheAmericanWerewolfProject I havent found a trailer or anything else on it. again, I always keep expectations low,the trailer for Howl looks promising and it seems like it will be a good horror flick if nothing else. And as far as the other 2 movies, Ill take crappy b-movie content over no content at this point. |

Re: Upcoming werewolf movies
Howl looks like a video game.
I suppose looking like an average video game is a step up from looking like a cheap movie, though. I guess their budget guy said "If you want suits we can only afford one set" and their producer was smart enough to trust him.

Re: Upcoming werewolf movies
I agree. I think it is an interesting setting. And judging by the trailer it seems that it will be at least a somewhat decent movie.
"Crying Wolf" on the other hand looks like another one of those awful "lower than low" budget movies. |

Re: Upcoming werewolf movies
About Howl, I've been following it from the last months. It is really promising in terms of "werewolf horror fan", but I suspect that the transformations are the typical centred in head/hands, in other words, no "AAWIL style", no nudity or else.
And about Crying Wolf, it is something like the recent Wolfcop thing. I like some comedy touch in the movies, but in this case they've gone a bit far for my tastes. And for the female-werewolf-fetish, as in the previous case, expect just face/hands thing. Just a question, I remember last year someone told about a werewolf movie inside a werewolf movie. The story was something like a celebration after finishing the fillmation of a werewolf movie, and then a real werewolf appeared to make things "funnier"... I suspect that there were also female werewolves... anyone? |

Re: Upcoming werewolf movies
Seriously, can we stop with the negativity? I appreciate the news, I'd be happy to read the reviews when the movies are available. Until then, can we all just withhold judgement, good or bad?

Re: Upcoming werewolf movies
This is the site that had people write off the excellent When Animals Dream cause it wasnt transformation heavy. There's a lot of harsh judgements on stuff not being fetish enough or something.
Dunno whats with the attitude of entitlement or whatever it is I see. Thanks to the OP for the links btw. Always on the lookout for indie werewolf films. |

Re: Upcoming werewolf movies
HOWL looks great! I don't know what people here are talking about. Yes it's true that we get disappointed when our TF hopes get dashed time and again, but I'm able to look past a film with minimal TF content if the movie is actually good. I enjoyed When Animals Dream and Spring and a few others that were written off fairly quickly here on the boards. I'm not crazy about the final werewolf design in Ginger Snaps, but I hold that to be one of the best films of the 2000s.
