Doc's lab isn't gone, apparently Doc (THE Doc) is taking the site back over. He said something about updating the website, etc. So it's not gone, at least not yet.

As for your question, CYOC.net is a pretty good site. Story quality is sometimes lacking but every now and then you find a good story arc.

If it helps, one thing that stood out was that one of the girls had dyed hair (like hot pink, purple etc), and when she transformed her fur kept those colors.

Yes, that's the original thread on CYOC. The authors are Lycanthrokeith (who is still around here somewhere, as I recall) and Sarah Conrad. Keith put an edited copy of the full story up on his site, which you now can only access via the Wayback Machine:

I tried a search on that episode. No transformation. Did you give the wrong number?
